Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got these because they are incredibly reasonably priced for a polarized lens and they looked cute, but man was I disappointed. The lenses scratched immediately, and they don't seem to block out that much UV or cut down the glare. I ended up giving them to my boyfriend, and he's happier with them than I was, although he agrees that they are lower quality.

I love the color and shape of this waterbottle, but I hate the lid. It makes a terrible noise when screwing it on and off, and is kind of difficult to align. I usually just leave the lid off to avoid having to deal with it.

These bindings are awesome in theory, but it feels like there are still a few bugs to be worked out. As others have mentioned, the brake doesn't always stay up when going uphill, and my toe is often popping out of the front. I'm not typically in situations where this is anything more than an annoyance, so I'm still pretty sold, although I'm anxious to see how this improves next year.

I got this to protect the dark interior of my car, and it's done just that. The dogs seem to like it, it fits in the back of my car nicely, and is easy to store.

Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 140 lbs
Size Purchased: Medium

This is my first pair of bibs, and I love them. They're super comfy and the fit is flattering. I love the functional pockets and side zips - the full side zip for easy peeing is crucial. The material is fairly durable, but I do already have a few cuts on the bottoms from my ski edges.

I'd been looking at these for months before deciding to bite the bullet and get these Vuarnet sunglasses. They're expensive, but worth it. The quality was immediately apparent, and the lenses cut down any glare without making things artificially dark. I love the styling, although they are a little big on my somewhat small face.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is my boyfriends review of this item:

This pack is very well thought out. The pockets, mesh organizers, and overall architecture of the pack is on-point. You can fit a lot of stuff in there without it becoming too awkward. If you’re into the all day adventures this 15L is probably the right fit, if you’re in the max ~2hr bike ride camp I’d go with the 10.

I’ve used it chiefly for mountain bike riding, where it shines. It easily cinches down for a 40 min spin, or takes the food, rain jacket, and layers for an all day ride. While crushing the biking, it has remained comfortable on some long runs (8mi), and a number of long hikes (<20mi). It stays nice and cool with the mesh/open back, and the snack pouches on the hip belt are handy.

The shape of the pack lends itself to mountain biking, as it is more curved and conforms to the curve of the back while on the bike. Initially I had some sores/hot spots after my first long hike with a pretty full pack, but I later found I was riding the pack too low on my back. After adjusting the straps for a higher posture, the pack was much more comfortable for hiking and running.

I really like how the Big Zip bladder is integrated into the pack. The snap features do a good job orienting the bladder and they are surprisingly easy to manipulate when removing the bladder.

I really like how light the pack is by itself, but that also comes into play as a concern for its longevity. I’ve used it extensively for 4.5mo, and so far so good — I hope it keeps up, it's my new favorite pack.

This is my boyfriends review of these:

These shoes would make a great foray into trying clipless, I have been mountain bike riding clipless for a while and wanted a more causal clipless shoe for commuting. Commuting/riding around town in aggressive road/mtn bike shoes is passable, but these are a huge step up in comfort when off the bike -- the shoe is still stiff (that's what makes them comfy on the bike) but the balance that they strike on and off the bike is about as good as it gets. They feel like pretty normal shoes, they don’t clack on hard surfaces, and look pretty good.

I've been commuting in these for about 3.5 months. I have found that they aren't quite comfortable enough to wear at work all day, so I keep another pair of shoes at work that I can change out if needed.

For trips on the town, to the store, and just enjoying your bike ride -- these are a no brainer. I found they run slightly small. My normal size is US 9.5 and I ordered the 43, and they are slightly tight.

Gaiters might not be the most exciting piece of gear, but when it comes to keeping your feet dry over miles of hiking on snow, they're necessary. I recently used these backpacking over slushy snow fields while wearing microspikes, and was impressed with how well these worked! My feet were warm and dry, even when postholing for extended periods of time.
