This shirt is not as soft as the Kari Traa Tikse shirt. It's thicker/warmer and has a bit of scratch to it, but it has a similar nice slim fit, and fun colors. It's also not 100% merino, which I only realized after I ordered it, and that's unfortunate because I'm not sure it will keep you warm if you are using it while you are outside and sweating (time will tell). In any event, it would have gotten 4 stars, except for the fact that it comes in a massive cylinder of plastic that is just completely wasteful and unjustified, especially from a company that purports to support outdoor activities. Why do you need this much plastic to sell a shirt?! Backcountry, tell Kari Traa your customers want them to minimize their packaging!

This shirt is soft, has a nice slim fit, and is light and breathes well. I like all the colors and hope they come up with more. I have the red one and love it, softer than most shirts that are 100% merino. I liked it enough I I bought the grey pictured here with red on the sleeves. But the picture is inaccurate-- the shirt is all grey (the sleeves have sections that are slightly darker grey). Not sure I will keep the grey one because it is far less interesting without the red part.
