I found this jacket at a great price so I decided to cut some weight in my pack and get Essence by Marmot. I could see me losing this jacket it crams into small spaces and can really go anywhere. Breathability is unbelievable. I bought it in XL and it still is a little small as I wear Large normally. Using it in summer with a t-shirt or light long sleeve should be OK.

I bought this filter just to have an extra filter for my Platypus 4 Liter Gravity System. I used the system for two hiking seasons and have never had an issue. Back flushing has always cleared out slow filtering and I have never gotten sick. Even though this filter has fragility issues it isn't as easily broken as some make it seem. I would buy another if I needed too.

I have a total of three different pairs of Keen foot ware and these fit and have the same comfort as the others. They are lighter and seem to have a higher collar around your ankle. I haven't yet taken them out on a hike but plan to this spring. Updates to come.

Very Nice Hammock To Start With
4 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times

After seeing and hearing about how Hammock Camping was such a pleasant experience, I decided to purchase the Hammock Bliss No See Um No More Hammock. I found that it was very comfortable and the bug netting to be very tough and easy to manage. The Hammock does sag more than other hammocks Ive tried but it seems to be just as comfortable and doesn't effect the lay of the hammock. You will have to hang your straps a little higher to get the optimal hight for ground clearance but it is really no problem.
I did purchase a Tarp for this Hammock but it turned out to be too small. I picked up the Hammock Bliss XL Tarp and it fit perfect. I camped in a rain few days in the Adirondacks and stayed dry and comfortable. The Hammock Bliss No See Um No More Hammock is a great hammock to learn how to hang and camp using a Hammock with different rigging. This Hammock is very customizable as far as rigging and is tough enough to bring to the back country for that through hike. Happy Trail.

I ordered these hiking boots to replace a pair I've had for some time. I was able to wear them for about 15 miles of break in time around the neighborhood before taking them on a 25 mike hiking trip in the Adirondacks. They felt very comfortable and I had no issues with them during the break in time. I walked about 6 miles to and from a park, walked in a fitness trail and ran with my 9yo son at a playground. When I returned my feet were hot and sweaty but still in good shape.
On the 25 mile hiking trip I carried a pack about 20-25 pounds and has hotspots on my heals on day one. I tried to manage those but they developed into blisters and by the end of the last day I was in agony. I think these are great boots though and will try again to hike in them placing more protection on my heals. They were hot and didn't dry very fast from sweating in them all day either. A little heavy but I needed protection from roots and rocks on the trail.

The Marmot Traillight 2P Tent is easy to set up, only took a few minutes the first time I set it up, and very easy to tear down and put back into its caring bag. Its just big enough for one person and their gear or pretty cozy for two people. The only bad thing about this tent is it isn't the lightest tent you could purchase for the same purpose. But being around 5lbs it isn't too bad.
