I prefer these to the Venga pants mostly for fit reasons. Although they don’t fit me perfectly, they have performed well when climbing. I think to be better they should have a cinchable leg and have a long option. I am 5’10”, 145lb, long arms/ legs, average torso and I got a size 6. They fit me as well as they can and usually once climbing I don’t notice many fit issues. They aren’t my number one pick for grabbing pants to climb in, but have been a regular in my arsenal.

Usual sizes: Carhartt 4 long, Prana 4, American Eagle 2/4, Patagonia 6

I have seen the light ... not kidding I have just discovered BD is the only company that can make climbing pants that fit me. I am 5’10”, 145 lb, long legs/arms, average torso and I got these in a M and they fit like a dream (length, crotch area, thigh, everywhere!). I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to try BD clothes - I have other BD gear I just never thought to try their apparel — why? No idea. I LOVE these pants. I am beyond excited to try more of their other clothes. I haven’t tried these out yet in alpine conditions but they are light enough I am climbing in them for spring and into summer.

Usual sizes: Carhartt 4 long, Prana 4, American Eagle 2/4, Patagonia 6

I have their sun hoody which isn’t on here to review but let me tell you that also fits me (also M) better than anything. I know I am a true Medium but have to guess whether I am going to be anything from a S to XL or 2 to 10 depending on the brand/ item of clothing. Very frustrating. If you are long, lean, and gangly like me and can’t find pants that fit, buy these pants.

I can’t remember when I got these pants, but they might be an older model and since been changed. I am disappointed in the fit and quality though. I am 5’10”, 145lb, long arms/ legs, average torso and I got a size 6 (my usual Patagonia size) which fit well only in the waist.

Usual sizes: Carhartt 4 long, Prana 4, American Eagle 2/4

The crotch area is weird and the length is too short. After wearing them a few times at the crag, I got over the length and fit because wearing them under a harness and rolling the ends up a little alleviated any previous fit issues. However, after taking them up a multi pitch climb in Red Rock, they came back with a lot of abrasion and were worn through on the knee. I know I wasn’t the easiest on them but come on, they lasted 4 or 5 wears. I will continue to wear them out but they aren’t my first pick when it comes to grabbing pants for climbing.

I think I am in the minority but I just really don't like these pants. I think what does it is the flared leg. I HATE it. Why would I want that when I am trying to be active climbing, biking, etc. I want a slim, straight, or boot cut but never flared. I am 5'10", 145 lb, long legs/arms, average torso and I got a 4 regular length which fit perfectly. I was so mad about these pants for so long and always wanted to buy the men's version but I guess since Prana came out with the Briann pant I will try those. I prefer BD or Patagonia pants for climbing and really adventuring in though — they outshine the Halle pants.

I love this flannel so much. I am 5'10", 145 lb, long legs/arms, average torso and I have this in a size 10 and 12. I honestly like the 12 better -- just fits my arms and is more comfy. Sizing things is crazy hard for my bc of my gangly 6' ape index arms and smallish athletic body type. I can run anywhere from a S to XL or 2 to 12 in things depending on the brand/ item of clothing. Sizing aside, like I said, I realllly love this flannel. Buy it. You need one. Or 6.

I have loved this jacket to death the past few years. I am 5'10", 145 lb, long legs/arms, average torso and I got a L which lets me layer a few things underneath. It fits my long arms!!! Be careful in your color choice -- I got a cool light blue but it shows every speck of dirt, ketchup, beer, and anything else lol oh well, I only wear it adventuring anyway. I also have the hoodless nano air hybrid in a M and the sleeves are just bareeeely too short for my gangly (6' ape index) arms to fix exactly how I want in the thumb holes (the sleeve length wearing it without thumb catch is fine). I think my size falls somewhere between the M and L so it is nice to have the different jacket for layering options. I use this as more of a mid-outer layer as opposed to the hybrid which is strictly a mid layer for me.

I needed different pants for work because I am sick of wearing uncomfortable clothes. These are great! I can wear them to work but I think they will be great for other activities. I am 5'10", 145 lb, long legs/arms, average torso and I got a size S which fits super well. They fall a teeny bit higher on my leg than the model photo above, but they are not too short and I would rather have them fit better through the leg than get a size M (Usual sizes: Carhartt 4 long, Prana 4, American Eagle 2/4, Patagonia 6).

o.m.g. can't take these pants off, I love them so much!!! I am 5'10", 145 lb, long legs/arms, average torso and I got a size S which fit perfectly. The ankle is semi-snug about 3-4 inches above my ankle bone and tight-ish through my calf, but not in any way restricting. The fit is super flattering and the length is great! I also love that the butt is not saggy. I always have issues with fit - I never know if I'll be a small or XL. I can dress them up for work and also wear them around town and at home. I need another pair!! (Usual sizes: Carhartt 4 long, Prana 4, American Eagle 2/4, Patagonia 6)

I loooove Patagonia but I feel like their sizing is hit or miss with my body size. I am 5'10", 145 lb, long legs/arms, average torso (usual sizes: Carhartt 4 long, Prana 4, American Eagle 2/4, Patagonia 6). I ordered these in M and while the waist was comfortably snug, they were super weird on my legs. Billowy and just not cut for me - not sure if my legs were too skinny (they aren't that small...?) or what but I think I will try the Barely Baggies because I really wanted these to work.

I love this jacket and wear it almost daily. I am 5'10", 145 lb, long legs/arms, average torso. I ordered a M and it fits well. I don't think I could layer more than 2 thin shirts underneath. I love the design of the thumb catch on the sleeves, but the M is just bareeeely too short for my gangly (6' ape index) arms to fix exactly how I want in the thumb holes (the sleeve length wearing it without thumb catch is fine). I also have an original nano air w/hood and I have that in a L which fits me as well and I use that as more of a mid-outer layer as opposed to this M which is strictly a mid layer and great for skiing or other activities. It is my go-to for skiing, climbing, mountain biking, etc. I have it in black which works well as an outer layer for business casual office wear since it doesn't show dirt, ketchup, coffee stains etc etc lol.
