Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Overall have had a great experience with these bindings so far. I had an easy time setting up the bindings with the canted puck set sold separately from voile. They transition smoothly from climb to ride mode and the slider pin has held up well and continues to move smoothly. The included climbing wires have two heights. The shorter of the two is very easy to flip up and down with a pole, the longer of the two is quite a bit more difficult to flip up and down as it faces forward towards the toe of the binding. The ride-n-stride highback system works well, although I found myself wishing the climbing more provided for a bit more freedom of movement. These bindings, as one of the most affordable on the market, seem to be an excellent value.

From the recipient:
After a few days out on these skins I am very satisfied. They trimmed to fit my nitro nomad very easily and cleanly with the provided tool. This pair provided excellent traction. I experienced almost no slippage on steep segments of the skin track. As a trade off, the slide efficiency suffered a bit, but in my opinion that is a small price to pay for the confidence the great traction inspires. Glue bonds very tight.
The only drawback that I have noticed so far is that it can be a bit challenging to get the tip hooks to engage in a way that aligns the skins correctly. Usually takes a few minutes get them on straight.

I replaced a pair of heavier touring boots with these, and I am in love! They are super lightweight which is great for walking uphill, but also preform surprisingly well on the downhill- I am used to super stiff high-preformance ski boots, and I had some reservations about making the switch. Totally worth it!

I borrowed these from a friend for a rafting trip in November, and I loved them so much that I'm sending a pair down the Grand Canyon with my friend in December! Absolute life savers on cold nights at camp. Definitely not great for rainy nights, they aren't waterproof and are more of a slipper style, but so warm for sitting around the fire or cooking dinner! I ordered a bit big so I could wear warm socks in there as well. So awesome.

I've owned a few Basin and Range items, and I will never get over them!! I love the cozy feel to this cardigan. It's got enough weight to it to be super warm, and I love stripes so this is perfect for me!! Great addition to my winter wardrobe

When I first saw the Shift Binding at Outdoor Retailer last year, I thought there was no way this product made any sense. Atomic had a few on their demo fleet, and despite being a bit weary to charge hard on a binding that looked like a lot of plastic, I was absolutely blown away.
I've always had a bit of trepidation when it comes to pin bindings , and the Shift is a perfect balance between the two! it offers the convenience of a pin binding for easy touring, and a seamless transition into a more alpine style binding for downhill, without compromising too much on weight. Check out this video for more deets, featuring the man himself Daron Rahlves:

I love this sweater over jeans or leggings! It's so comfy and warm, and not itchy at all despite the wool! It is definitely a more relaxed fit, and it does fit a little short through the torso- but honestly fit me just fine despite that!

I used this drysuit as a raft guide in Wyoming for the last few seasons, and oh boy was I glad to have it when the Snake was running at 30,000 CFS! The women's specific fit is super nice, and for once the legs are actually long enough to accommodate my absurdly long legs. The feet are GoreTex as opposed to having gaskets, and after a long day of swift water rescue classes and standing in the water, I will say that my socks get a little wet- once again, only after hours and hours of standing in rivers. I've crashed through willow bushes, smacked into boulders, and snagged this thing on oar locks and never had an issue with durability. Not to mention I love the purple color!
I am 5'8'', 155 lbs and wear a medium. LOVE this thing. Kokatat is spendy but 100% worth it.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Added these to my quiver last winter, and they might be my favorite ski of all time! These skis rip on hardpack, and are just wide bodied enough to be fun and floaty on a powder day. They ski a lot like a wide-bodied Giant Slalom ski (I am 5'8" and ski these in a 180cm). Honestly, my favorite pair of skis I have owned. The Flip Core tech from Blizzard makes the ski responsive, and despite how burly it seems, I have no issues getting these bad boys up on edge at any speed. Best for ad advanced skier looking to charge hard! LOVE THEM.
