Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Popped for the White Honey Tortoise Block for a big trip - my sister has chromapops and they are amazing. I decided polarized, nice sunglasses were worth it and was absolutely right. Their color separation / clarity is unbelievable, and I could actually find birds better with the glasses on than off. It's like the world is higher resolution; details are easier to see. I'd absolutely recommend these not only as a functional improvement in seeing the details of the natural world, but also as a stylish accessory. Love 'em, would recommend.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

Ordered the medium, definitely should have gotten the large.
But let me tell you: this hat kept me cool and protected me from the sun quite well on a 10-day Yellowstone trip; I would have been in trouble without it. It was comfy to wear, the brim didn't blow up and reduce sun protection, and the cord mostly kept it snugly on my head whether horseback riding or kayaking. I will say that they could do a better job with the little thingy that adjusts cord length - in really gusty conditions I had to hold on to the cord because I didn't trust the chintziness of the part. (Only reason for 4 stars) One additional nice thing: it's a little longer in the back to protect your neck area; I was looking at kayaking photos and other than the guide, I'm the only one with a fully protected neck.
10/10 would again.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I am an enthusiastic nature-walker and hiker. I might do a 6 mile trail slowly birding, or whip through an uphill / downhill trail in a few hours with my sister. These boots are fantastic: I really didn't have a breaking-in period, they offer ankle support, and they keep my feet warm but not tooooo warm (hot-foot sufferers, i am with you). I am also an ankle-roller and it has not happened once with these boots, even on very uneven terrain (back country hiking). They're nicely waterproof and, to me, fairly stylish. No issues as of yet with reliability, and in addition to wearing these on hikes and on job sites since November, I've just returned from a 10-day Yellowstone trip on which I wore them all day every day. I'd absolutely recommend these to anyone looking for a comfortable waterproof hiking boot with ankle support.
