Familiarity: I've used it several times

It fits everything I need for a long run in the mountains: layer, water, phone, lip balm, snacks. The water capacity is nice, with the two bottle holders in the front and space for a 1.5-liter bottle in the back. My only complaint is how unbalanced/uncomfortable the best vest feels with two full water bottles in the front. I tried it with just the bladder and it felt so much better. I think I'll just have to use the bladder from now on instead of the bottles. It could just be that the vest doesn't fit my body well, although it feels really secure otherwise.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These were my first pair of Altras, and while they are super comfortable in general, I don't think these are great for what I bought them for. It could be because I'm not used to a more minimalist shoe, but even after almost 60 miles in these I still can't love them.

After my first big day in the mountains with these (12 miles, 7800 feet of gain, lots of scree), there are already small tears in the upper. They have virtually no midfoot support, and the upper is so thin and stretchy that my foot slides around if the trails are uneven. Even on non-technical trails, I feel that I'm lacking support and protection, especially on the descent.

I love Altra's fit philosophy, so I bought a pair of their road runners and they fit much better. I'm testing out the Timp 1.5 because it's supposed to be a beefier, more supportive shoe.

The fit and feel of this shirt is great. I even bought a second one immediately after the first because I like the slightly higher neckline for running. But after one long day out on the trails, it started to pill severely under all the areas where my running vest touched the shirt. Because it's a running vest, there's not that much friction and I'm super disappointed this happened so early on.

I've been wearing the Strider shorts, which are perfect except for their lack of a zippered pocket. I tried these because they have a zippered pocket but ended up returning them.

The material felt absolutely awesome! Soft and durable. The liner felt secure and like it wouldn't ride up when I was running. But I just couldn't get past the fit.

I wear a small in the Strider and other Patagonia bottoms, but the waist was really big on me in a small. If I sized down to an extra small I'm certain they would have been too tight in the booty. They do have a drawcord waist, but I had to tie it so tightly it made the elastic waist look all weird and bunchy. So these went back and I'm going to grab another pair of the Striders!

I'm about to purchase my third pair of these. I have tons of other running shorts but keep reaching for these because they're the most comfortable, so naturally I needed to have a pair for every run of the week.

The pros:

The wide, stretchy waistband is really flattering and stays put. It's low profile so it doesn't bother me when I'm wearing a running belt. I've only worn these for training runs so far, and I've run up to 10 miles in them. Zero chafing and no riding up!

The con:

There's only one: No zipper on the key pocket. Adding a zipper is the only thing I'd change about these shorts!

I'm obsessed with this shirt! I'm all about versatile pieces that I can run in, climb in, and train in. This is that shirt! It has a modern, boxy cut but it still manages to be super flattering. I especially love the high-low design. I've clocked in some sweaty miles on the treadmill with it and it breathes super well and dries fast. Fits true to size!

As soon as I tried on these pants it was love. The material feels super durable yet stretchy, and I love the low-profile elastic waistband. It feels awesome under a harness! I'm 5' 7" and 125 lbs and the smalls fit perfectly. They're a tad shorter than I like my pants, but I have long legs so I usually have that issue.

I've used this bag a few times, once for a big ski trip to Alaska that required tons of gear, most of which I was able to fit in this bag along with my skis, and most recently for a trip to Canada. I love the fold-over adjustability. It makes the bag way easier to roll through the airport. The tapered shape is perfect for stuffing other gear (boots, clothes, ice axes, etc). The reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's not the easiest/most comfortable to roll. You have to pack it symmetrically otherwise it is off-kilter when rolling through the airport. That might not be an issue for some people, but when it's packed with 50lbs of gear it can be a bit difficult for me to handle.

I use this protein pretty much every day in a breakfast smoothie. It's made from great ingredients and it has a whopping 20 grams of protein per scoop, but the flavor is really lacking. I get the chocolate flavor, use half a scoop, and really doctor it up so I don't have to taste it as much. After I finish this tub I'll probably try some of the other flavors to see if they taste better.

I've been on the search for a comfortable, jogger-style pant that looks good dressed up or down (hard, I know). These hit the nail on the head. They are so flattering, not too loose and not too tight, and the material is soft, lightweight, and has a really nice stretch. They're the perfect length, too, (i'm 5'7") so they don't look like capris. Will be the perfect travel pant!

I really wanted to love this jacket, but I ended up returning it.
First, the quality and color are awesome. It has a beautiful sheen to it that gives it an elevated look.
The fit is where it missed the mark. I'm 5'7" and about 125 lbs and the fit was short and boxy (I could have fit another person in the jacket with me) and the sleeves were too short. That being said, just because it didn't look good on me doesn't mean it won't on you. Plus, it felt very warm when I was wearing it around my house.

I just bought these and i've skied in them 5 days now. Holy moly! I have a low-volume foot and ankle, and these fit like a glove right out of the box. After some minor punches to accommodate for a weird bone protrusion I have going on, these feel amazing.

I went from a 100 flex touring boot to these for the resort. At first I thought they were going to be a bit too stiff for my height and weight, but they ski great. The responsiveness and power transmission is totally noticeable, especially compared to the boot I've been skiing in. So far, I've ripped them on hardpack and got to test them on a powder day and they perform! For context, I'm 5' 7" and 125lbs.

Love love love these pants! I've worn them a ton in the backcountry and they rock. The stretchy material and moves with you on the skinner, and they breathe impressively well when things heat up. I've really put them to work on some early season slogs involving lots of bushwhacking, and they've held up super well.

I have a longer leg and the length on these is really nice. I will say I think they run a bit big. I typically wear a small in most ski pants. I got these in a small and thought they'd be ok (they're definitely wearable), but I wish I swapped them out for an XS. I have to cinch the adjustable waistbelt a few inches so they don't fall down, and there's a lot of material around my legs. For context, I'm 5' 7" and 125lbs.

I love the material and the cut of this shirt. It's simple but goes well with a lot of things. The one thing to note about this top is that it's definitely short. I'm 5'7" and it JUST barely hits me at my hipbones. It looks really cute with high-waisted jeans, but would probably show skin with a medium rise pant.

Love love LOVE these jeans! They definitely run a tad small. I usually wear a 26 in jeans, even in Free People, and these are perfect in a 27. The material of the blue wash is a bit different than I expected, more of a heavier, less stretchy denim (think vintage Levis), but it gives these jeans a retro flare. The high waist is super flattering, and I adore the unfinished hem!
