Fit: Runs small

They have no cushion and fit well in low-volume shoes. Unfortunately, the leg band is too tight for me. I'm slim, even in the feet/ankles, but have somewhat larger calves, so they may be OK for thinner legs. Otherwise, size L fit well (my casual shoe size is 8.5-9M). The fabric isn't soft, but it's not uncomfortable.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Height: 5' 4"
Weight: 112 lbs
Size Purchased: Small

It weighs only 3 oz (size S), is great for wind and light rain (it has DWR finish). There are snaps at the ankles so you can easily get it over shoes or boots, and an extra snap in further let's you cinch it at the bottom. Backcountry calls this a woman's pant, but Patagonia only makes it in unisex sizes, so it's straighter in the hips/waist than a woman's size would be. I'm 5'4" 112 lb, sort of curvy, and got size S, which fits OK (though I wish it had a bit more hip room), and I can wear a thin base layer under it. The waist sits at my high hip and has a drawstring so you can adjust it. The length is 30.5". It has one pocket (into which you can stuff it), which zips open at the side hip, but the pocket itself is oddly angled toward the back. I plan to use it for hiking and travel, along with my Houdini jacket.

This is a great ultralight WP jacket but it runs small. I love the longer length with 2-way zip. It has hand pockets, velcro cuffs, and a hood with 1 back pull and a bill that holds its shape. It stuffs into one of its pockets (which I didn't try), and the inside didn't feel slick on my skin. Though OR calls it standard fit, my normal size S barely fit over a T shirt and lightweight pants and was especially snug at the hip, though the sleeves were good. This was unexpected, as I have 2 other OR jackets in S that fit fine, even over a midlayer (I'm 5'4" 110 lb). So unfortunately I returned it and didn’t try a M as didn’t want its longer sleeves.

Size Purchased: XS

I wear either S or XS in Marmot jackets, depending on what I'll wear it over, and got XS as I planned to wear this with just a short-sleeve T shirt. Though I like a close fit, this felt a bit restrictive. Also, I don't usually use thumbholes, so for me the sleeves were way too long and bunched up at my wrist. Otherwise it's a good weight for mild weather, and the Raspberry color is very nice, like a cherry red. I returned it because of the fit.
