I wear a size 0 or 2 (which fits loosely) in Prana. But I can't get these pants over my thighs! Seriously. And I haven't gained weight; I still fit just fine in my old Prana gear. I'm not even sure if a 4 will be big enough. The quality seems good so I'll give it another try.
This same thing happened with Kuhl, in which I used to wear a 2, but now the waist size for their pants and shorts is an inch and a half smaller this year. Manufacturers, please stop using vanity sizing. Give women sizing like men - natural waist + inseam - and to make it more accurate add a hip measurement. So, instead of a 2 or 4, make it a 27-36-32 or whatever. It would make every woman's life easier and also make companies more profitable because they wouldn't have so many returns.

I have a couple of pairs of the regular (not 150) merino bottom from Stoic and absolutely love them. But the regulars are rarely available in my size (XS) so I bought the 150s thinking I'd be getting a similar product at a different weight. Nope. These are completely unwearable.

The inseam must be ridiculously short because if I have the cuffs where they should be (on my ankles, of course) then the crotch hits mid-thigh. Let me emphasize here that I do not have long legs. The regular Stoics fit like a glove and the crotch hits my crotch. Imagine that.

A couple of other things to consider: these have less stretch and the bottom is not gussetted. So even if you manage to get these to your crotch, you'll have less ability to move freely and a seam running up your bum.

Now I have to pay return shipping to send these horrible beasts back, which is a total bummer. It's Backcountry's own brand and if they can't have the fit/sizing consistent between similar items then that should be their problem, not mine. Very disappointed.
