Kwrote a review of Patagonia Capilene Thermal Weight Bottoms - Men's on April 13, 2016
Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: Runs large
I wear XL bottoms. Football legs and etc. Bought an XL Arcteryx Phase SV, and could not fit into them. Too tight.
These Pagatonia Thermal in XL, however, are somewhat uncomfortably loose. Should've got an L.
The insulation of the bottoms is interlaced, one line of substantial fleece and one line of next-to-nothing-thin face fabric. It doesn't seem to have affected warmth in the most significant way though. Would just feel a little weird around the knees if you are sensitive to it.
This particular weave, however, will leave lines of red marks on your skin after exertions, and sometimes they itch.
Bottoms dry moderately fast, and provide mid-weight warmth instead of the heavy-weight warmth its name might imply.
Craftsmanship is the highlight. Durable. Design has good attention to details.
