K Jacobsen's Bio

Hello!

I spend most of my free time snowboarding in the winter and mountain biking, hiking, and camping in the summer. I am super picky about my gear and typically do a lot of research before I hit the ADD TO CART button. I enjoy sharing my opinions in an effort to make sure we all know a little more about the gear we are buying!

I wanted an affordable MIPS road helmet that was decent looking and this one really fit the bill. It's has nice styling and is well made. It is a little warm since it doesn't have a lot of ventilation but other than that it's great! I was not able to find another MIPS helmet that was cheaper that looked this good. I'm at the highest end of what a small says it will fit (55cm) and with the adjustments the small fits me perfect. The medium also fit but I had to have the adjustment all the way down to the smallest setting.

These are fantastic quality pants. They are lightly insulated and have kept my legs from getting cold even on 0 degree days. Probably too insulated for spring riding but great for your standard winter temps. In most things I am a small but in these I took an XS. I think regular length is also a bit on the long side.

Love these. They are super lightweight feeling and soft but keep me warm even when it is under freezing. I like how they have no hem around the ankle so you have less bulk in your snowboard boot.

Having the right warmth sock is essential for happy feed. I tend to run cold but have found my feet stay drier and warmer with lighter weight socks. I typically wear these socks when it's over 32 degrees. Anything cooler I go up in weight.

They fit great I wear a 7 and take the S/M. If you are over a 7.5 maybe you would want to go with the M/L.

Great looking pant. Camel color is beautiful! These are shells so there is not a lot of insulation in them which is perfect for spring riding but use a layer for colder winter days. They run a little big in the waist but slim in the legs. Snowboard pants are always a bit on the long side to cover your boot and give you room to bend.

Got this for when we go hiking and swimming. It takes up 1/5 of the space as a traditional body towel and comes with a little zipper case to store it in. Directions say to wash it on cold before first use. So stoked on how great this packs down and will be getting a second one.
