As others have mentioned, these bibs will only fit a small percentage of people. I’m 5’-11”, 165lbs, and the medium bibs just happen to fit me. I have a narrow waist (28), and the pants are almost too tight around the butt when crouched. However, the fit is great for me - I use the pants for touring, resort skiing, and ice climbing, and have a full range of motion. The material is bulletproof, and I really appreciate the sleek profile without baggy pockets. The full length zippers are crucial when dumping heat, and the elastic shoulder straps are nice and sturdy when cranking uphill. Try them on first!

This thing is indestructible. I’ve skied 50 days in this jacket so far this year, and it looks and feels brand new. Totally worth the investment, especially if you can find it on sale. So many pockets, but nice and sleek without the cargo jacket appearance. FIT: Definitely relaxed. I’m 5’-11” 165lbs and the Medium is roomy. Sleeves are long, as well as the skirt. This is great for the resort though, because you can pair it with different layers and the freedom of movement is excellent. MATERIAL: Supple but tough as nails. Doesn’t breathe that well and is thick, and so it can be quite warm - but it’s meant to be with the light fleece lining. I’ve skinned up in this jacket, but it was a very cold morning. BOTTOM LINE: if you’re looking for a resort-specific shell that will last forever, go for it. You won’t be disappointed.

Overall, this is an incredibly functional pack with a lot of thoughtful features. Built to the level of craft that you expect with Black Diamond - solid construction and fits very well. I love the insulated hydration sleeve, the ability to carry skis in diagonal mode as well as a-frame, and the super comfy hip belt with roomy pockets. Lots of capacity in addition to the pocket for avy gear. A couple downfalls: 1. Good luck hooking the helmet flap to the tiny loops when it’s cold and storming. The fact that these aren’t secured with small buckles is frustrating. 2. The back panel zipper is difficult to open with one hand due to a rectangular flap profile. Can be challenging when trying to quickly reach for a stashed layer.
