Justin Henderson's Bio

I was born and raised in Salt Lake and except for 2 years that I lived in Brazil, I've lived here my whole life. I am fortunate to live 30 minutes away from 7 ski resorts and several other canyons that give me access to that world famous Utah powder. I don't care what you Coloradans (or Coloradians, or however you say it) say, ours is better ;).

You can be sure that when I'm not working or in class, you can find me outside doing something. I've been riding mountain bikes since before I could walk straight, and I took up road biking a couple years back. During the summer when I'm not on my bike, I'm probably backpacking. And during the winter if I'm not on my skis I'm probably snowshoeing.

If there's anything I can help you with, don't hesitate to call me directly if there's anything else I can help you with. Just call 800.409.4502 ext 4121.

Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size

This is a perfect down jacket for kids. Many other down jackets are pretty pricey. Columbia's down jacket is a great option for those who want to get their kids into a puffy, but don't want to break the bank. Because let's face it, who wants to spend a ton of money on a jacket knowing that their kid will outgrow it in 4 months. Just because these jackets are less expensive, they certainly didn't skimp. This jacket will keep your kidlet warm well into the middle of winter.

I just bought two of these for our little groms to start camping. Our 4 year old absolutely loves it. He sleeps in it every night, camping or not. It does seem substantial enough that it will keep him warm close to the advertised 20 degree mark. Due to the nature of being synthetic, this bag isn't very compressible. I would recommend buying a compression bag to use in lieu of the provided stuff sack if you need to save space.

I've owned Nalgene bottles for years. I'm that dude who almost exclusively drinks out of a nalgene bottle that is plastered with stickers. I really had no need for a new bottle but when I saw the glow in the dark model, I just bought it on the fly. I mean, who doesn't think that a glow in dark bottle is legit! It will totally come in handy when camping. No more fumbling around in the dark to try and find the water bottle!

Big agnes makes great pads. My wife and I have had 2 of these for years and just purchased one of these for our kids to sleep on when we camp. They are a little bigger than the competition's similar pad but I've found that the big agnes pads tend to be a little more durable than the other brand.

I bought this pack to use trailrunning. I haven't been able to hit the trails with it yet, but I've taken it on a quick 6 mile run while pushing my two kids in a stroller. As with every other osprey product I've purchased in the past, this pack does not disappoint. Osprey thinks of everything. I can't wait to actually test this out on a long trail run.
