Ultra Light Done Right
4 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times

Definitely small and Ultralight. It weighs NOTHING compared to other options and still has room and comfort. I'm 6'2" and fit just in the UL2. If you do bring 2 people or a dog, you better be close since room is limited but that's how UL gear works. Not too complicated to set up but the Copper Spur is definitely more simple and has more room. Not the most durable piece but if you want to carry no weight, it's the way to go!

Need to go anywhere and carry EVERYTHING?? The Black Hole series will carry it all. The bags are durable, water resistant, zippers are solid, and they can carry anything and everything under the sun. The 55L is a perfect size for weekend trips, and even goes as a carry-on! Love these bags and will continue to buy more to carry everything I own.

Confused as to what jacket to take out on your adventure? Is it sunny but windy and cool, or maybe cloudy but the sun keeps popping out? This is the jacket for all adventures. Comfortable and lightweight, it's an awesome jacket to wear just over a t-shirt or as a shirt.

Lots of maneuverability to climb in., I've used it high on some walls and it's great to break out when it gets windy, and wont get you too sweaty and warm when the sun comes out. The arms are a nice length as well so they'll cover you fully from the sun when needed!

A great little headlamp! Small enough to store away in your car, pack, or pocket for when night falls sooner than you planned and you need to see, and still powerful enough to use day to day as your go to light source. I'd get something more powerful if you're out where you need to see a huge area (late night skiing, climbing, or more technical activities) but around camp and for emergencies, you can't do much better. The rechargeable feature always adds to my love for BD headlamps!

Climb High and Hard in Comfort

These qualify as your All Around Adventure Pants for whatever use you want to throw at them. I've done yoga, gone climbing, gone to work, out on the town, hikes in heat and through snow, all in a few short weeks and they stood up to the test! Comfortable with some good stretch to be able to move around for all these activities, and they look good doing it! The side pocket is nice for storing things while moving around so much, but the zipper on mine was finicky and sometimes tried to come off or not zip perfectly. Still worked great and I loved them!

I adore these shoes. Was lucky enough to try them out on some granite slab and crack and that is where they shine! Comfortable enough to climb all day in, yet they can still smear and jam like champions (and they look good doing it too). If you're looking to climb all day on some slab or crack, these are the shoes to do it in.

Ice is Nice

Took these Ice Climbing for a weekend in Colorado and I didn't even remember I was wearing them! Kept me dry the whole time and stood up to a new ice climber beating! Lightweight and breathable enough to climb in 40 degree weather in the sun and still keep me dry and not rip and be mobile enough to get some high feet and hike up some mountains!

Durable, lots of room, easy to carry, extra pockets where you need them but not so many that things get lost. What more could you need in a duffel bag? The backpack straps are still comfortable when fully loaded and it's not so large that you can't carry it fully loaded with the single strap.

Nothing else that I've worn has come close to the comfort and breathability that these have. They're soft, fit perfectly, breathe well, even when I'm out running, climbing, or in the office. Do yourself a favor and grab yourself a pair or two of these (or any other merino underwear) and you'll never go back.

Western Mountaineering makes sleeping bags and they make them WELL! Specifically, this bag is one of my favorites from them. The 10-degree rating allows a good breadth of temperature ranges that you can be at without roasting alive or freezing your butt off. It packs down to nothing when you need and still lofts well and easily when it's time to get ready for bed. It's not so small that it's constrictive but keeps warmth nicely and feels comfortable inside.

I love that there is a little more weight to this jersey than it would seem. It feels solid to wear and adds a small (yet not insignificant) layer of protection when out and about! I've used it climbing and on some falls and off-width full body jams, it and I have held up nicely! Still looks great around town too and the side pocked is a great little touch to store a wallet, keys, chapstick or anything else small.

I love this little Yeti! It fits perfectly between the passenger and back seat in my car (2014 Outback), holds a weekends worth of cold food and ice, keeps it all cold, and is sturdy as can be. Easy to pack full of brews, sandwitch fixings, eggs and bacon, or whatever else you could need! Makes a great seat too when you forget yours.

A super simple helmet that does what it needs to do! The vents are a great added feature to allow airflow when needed and keep your head dry, or warmer when needed. It's a lower volume so it can fit under a hood easily and doesn't look super bulky and strange.

Sturdy Through All Snow
4 5

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Had a friend come to learn how to ski on these and they rocked through it all! They're sturdy enough to take anything Brighton Spring weather could throw at us, and it threw EVERYTHING at us. Snow, sleet, rain, fog, blue skies, ice, pow, groomers, everything. These held up through it all. Were able to hold an edge to get through ice, and float through pow. Simple, easy, making skiing fun.

Stay Dry and Look Good Doing It!
5 5

Grabbed this for a friend and this is what she said about it:
I really like this jacket! I run hot and it is very breathable and comfortable. The pit zips are a great addition for spring skiing and the long front zippered pockets are nicely accessible even with bulky gloves on. The front zipper comes up high enough to cover most of my neck and even some of my face as well as my collared insulated jacket underneath. Kept me dry in the rain and the snow, was breathable the whole time. Also, great color Arc'teryx!

This is a great blanket if you're looking to stay a little warmer while out by the fire. It packs down so it doesn't take up too much room and is still warm. Not warm enough to hang outside in early spring by itself, but it supplements a fire or sleeping bag really well. I brought a 20 degree bag out into 20 degrees and this blanket over that bag kept me nice and toasty warm where when I didn't have it, I woke up from being too cold.

I love these shoes. The rubber on them allows me to grip almost anything and they stick to everything. I've been climbing in Solutions for a while and may swap to these since they're similarly aggressive, but in the Futuras, you can smear and stick to the wall and more slopey footholds.

Still great at heel hooking and they can edge well but not as much as other shoes. The No Edge just makes it so you have to be more specific with your foot placement which is great in my opinion. Definitely will make you work and think about your footwork more which will make you climb better overall.

I wear a 12.5 street size and got the 46 (which is 12.5).

The simplicity of this stove is what makes it so great! Easy to turn on, off, connect fuel, do everything. You have easy full control of the flame, its light enough to not be a hassle but is sturdy enough to hold a large pot or castiron. Definitely plan on adding more to my Jetboil cooking setup!
