Love the warmth without the bulk! Goes great over thermals or just a “T.” Mine sees use year around whether under my Snowshot or torrent shell or as a cool fall or spring day layer. Just a note - this is form fitting and works great where you want a full range of motion but need warmth

An essential piece of clothing for Northern Climates. Either wear as is or add a layer underneath for cooler treks and activities and good to go. Water resistant - check, comfy - check, durable - check. Sizing... follow Patagonia's sizing guide to get into the right size. These are a slim fit and I had to bump up a waist size to get the right fit for an athletic frame.

Up front - I have no confidence that these pants will do the job. They are ultra thin and there is no reinforcement around the knees - regardless of whats advertised - the black material across the knees is a single layer almost identical to the rest of the pant. Slim fitting - yes and these might work well with a couple layers of polartec fleece underneath but without I wouldn't be caught in any inclement weather.

So, to start, my biggest problem with these boots is getting the size right. They are somewhere between 1/2 and one full size off. But once you get the size right they are good to go. A lightweight moderately flexible boot with a wide toe box. I warmed up the liners and followed the instructions on how to form them to your feet and oh do they fit nicely now. Comfy and relatively warm with enough room for a toe warmer should you desire. The heels have a neat “cup” that wraps around your heel and helps keep them in place- just enough grab to help them keep seated. The BOA is just something I won’t live without. My K2’s and my MTB shoes have them and I feel they are worth the extra bucks overall- super happy and would recommend.
