Epic Jacket!
5 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: Runs small
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 195 lbs
Size Purchased: XL

Did some research on ski shells before purchasing, slightly partial to Fjallraven but as expected this does not disappoint. My first piece of technical clothing from them and so glad I got it. I wear a large in pretty much everything but glad I went with the XL size for room to layer. I’ve layered in the Minnesota winter with a warm base layer and vest and this baby does the rest. Skiing gets a little cold doing laps in the Midwest yet this was great on the chairlifts. Awesome hood, huge pockets and vents for dumping heat. Very excited to take out west to see how it breathes. In comparison, I’ve tried on a Norrøna Lofoten Pro GoreTex ($800) and that thing was so loud, my wife could hear me coming from across the store. I agree with a previous review, this jacket has a softer/quieter fabric compared to most other 3-layer shells. Also, big fan of the company’s consciousness to the environment and sustainability with this jacket. Solid purchase, wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.

When these get tossed in the laundry I’m worried about what I’m going to wear next. They fit great, feel amazing and can wear hiking, to dinner, etc. There’s a reason Prana gets killer reviews on their shorts and many other things. My only knock on this model is I still almost wish they have the cinch built-in belt, so great but love em anyway.

Only put around 30 miles of varied terrain on these bad boys, so I don’t believe Ive broken them in quite yet but they’ve been very comfortable for me. I just got back from Havasupai in Arizona and I was one of the only people out of 12 of us that didn’t have any blisters after the hike in. However, the hike out starts with about 3 miles of loose sand. It wasnt ideal and both my heels split. But I applied some bandages, tied them tight as can be and crushed the rest of the hike after. Stoked to find any reason to put these back on to be honest. Appear to be of great quality, glad I took a chance in these!
