Jordan Kelch's Bio

Pacific Northwest born, Southern raised, Midwest education but decided to head West after graduation. Utah was calling and I had to find out why so my rescue pup, Duke, and I packed up the Subaru and drove to Salt Lake City. No matter where I am though, you'll find me running. I ran cross country and track in college but the elevation and steep mountains in Utah are teaching me to slow down and enjoy the scenery. My favorite brands are Brooks and Patagonia. You'll never see me without my Garmin watch on and I really appreciate a good pair of socks!

PERFECTION
5 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 5"
Weight: 120 lbs
Size Purchased: small

This jacket is awesome! I have a couple of rain jackets that I run in but they've always just been okay... They get the job done but they're not exactly enjoyable to run in. Most rain jackets are way too warm for running and the crinkly waterproof fabric is loud and obnoxious. This jacket isn't like that at all. It's not crinkly, it's not too warm and it's soft against your skin if you want to wear a tank top or short sleeve underneath. My previous rain jackets weren't very compactable either. This one packs down smaller than an avocado which is great for long runs or trail runs with a pack. Or, for hikers who want a super light emergency rain jacket. I recommend this jacket to anyone who lives somewhere with rainy spring weather and still wants to get outside regardless of the precipitation.

Actually stays in place!

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

There is nothing more frustrating to me than a headband that doesn't stay in place. As a runner, the last thing I want to deal with while I'm out running is to have to adjust my headband every half a mile. These things actually stay in place and they're not so tight you get a headache. They can also be worn over your ears in the cold weather or you can wear them around your neck. I'm super happy with my Buff Headband. I want one in every color!

Great Fall/Winter Running Jacket
5 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 4"
Weight: 120 lbs
Size Purchased: small

This jacket is awesome! It's super light and compacts into its pocket so it's easy to take with if you're unsure about the weather. It's not 100% waterproof but if you were stuck in a light storm or snow shower you'd be fine. I really like the fit. It's not too long at the waist and it's a nice cut for women.

No More Watery Eyes

I've been running a long time and I've never really thought I needed sunglasses. I have a funny nose and I don't really like to carry any more things than I have to. Recently though I was asked to try these out and I was really impressed. I thought that they wouldn't stay in place or fit my big nose but I didn't have any functional issues with them at all. I'm not in love with the way they look on my face but I guess I've never noticed how much I squint when the sun is out and how tense my face is because of the lighting. It was really nice to be able to relax my face! In the summer when it's really hot and I'm sweating, my eyes water really bad and the sunglasses gave me some relief from that.

These tights are pretty awesome! I love to wear them when I'm really sore, either on my run the day after a hard work out or a long run or immediately after my long run or hard work out. They really do help and get you through exercise that would otherwise be rough due to soreness or aches and pains. My only complaints are the thickness of the fabric, it's too hot for wearing in the summer, and the waist is also compression so it really pushes on my stomach and after a couple of hours I just need to take them off to give my gut some relief.

Love <3

I have the Adventure Vesta and I absolutely love it but most days I don't need that much space so I added the Ultra Vesta to my running arsenal. It is the perfect amount of space and just enough water. I love all the little pockets and awesome features. Ultimate Direction does an amazing job planning where pockets and zippers should be placed with runners in mind. My only complaint is that the bottles are located higher on this vest than the Adventure Vesta. I actually put the soft bottles in the back because I don't like them bouncing around and the placement. I have an Osprey 1.5L Hydraulic bladder and it fits perfectly in there. I haven't had any chaffing issues and I love how easy it is to adjust and customize to your chest.

Well Done Altra
5 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 4"
Weight: 125 lbs

I was about to give up on Altra until I found the Timps! Not as sloppy as the Lone Peaks and not as chunky as the Olympus. Same roomy toe box but I like that these shoes have a little more structure to them. Super comfortable right out of the box. I'm still not sure if zero drop is right for me but I really like having these shoes in my arsenal. Please don't hesitate to call or email me with questions or just to talk about running.

I could have spent a little less money on a plain bolster but the Indigo Ikat is so darn cute! And, it won't get confused with someone elses at the studio. I got the Manduka recycled foam blocks in seafoam to go with it and I couldn't be more excited about my little yoga set up! I've always had to lay in savasana with my knees bent because I have lower back issues and the floor hurts my tail bone even with a mat. I recently joined a new gym and the instructor must have noticed me always bending my legs so one day she came by and slid a bolster under my knees. It was amazing! I realized that day that I've never truly experienced the power of savasana! I was in a whole different world! I was able to relax and really let go of all my muscles. I'm obsessed with bolsters now. I wish I had known more about them years ago. I even use it at home when I'm watching TV. I place it under my knees for relief on my lower back and knees. Take your practice to a new level and try out a bolster!

These blocks are exactly what they say they are. I got my own after we were supposed to put our faces on some blocks at the gym and all I could think of was staph infection! I used to be too competitive to use blocks but a recent injury has made me realize how amazing, helpful and therapeutic blocks can be. I really like to do yoga with Adriene in my living room so I got the Hugger Mugger bolster and some blocks and now I have the whole set up. Don't be afraid to love and use your blocks!

I'm obsessed with yoga and I'm obsessed with seafoam! I could have gotten these a lot cheaper somewhere else but they wouldn't be as high quality and they wouldn't be seafoam! I got them to go with my new Hugger Mugger Indigo bolster and I'm so happy. I love Balega. I've worked in the running world for years now and have never heard of anyone having issues with Balega. I got these for my dad to golf in. He's obsessed now. The feel, the fit and the quality is top notch. You'll get over the price once you try them on!

Super soft, flattering fit and versatile. I love this top because it's great for working out but it's also cute as a casual tank top. I've worn it on the elliptical machine but also with sandals and jean shorts. I'm really happy with the length too. I have a hard time finding tank tops that aren't as long as my shorts. This one hits me right where it should. If I were to be super critical, I'd say the material is not the best for hot or high intensity work outs. If you sweat a lot, this top is not for you. It gets soaked and it's obvious and it's not quick dry material.
