Awesome Bibs, but Quality in Question...

4.5 Stars is how I really want to rate these bibs. I love everything about them, except for their durability.
First, I want to say that I purchased these bibs at a great sale price during one of CC's awesome sales. The compression in the legs is great, the chamois is thick and provides great comfort without bulk, and the windstopper cup material is very effective. I would describe the fit as

I really like this jersey. I wanted something long sleeve and light weight for cooler rides(50-60 degrees), while still having a form fitting, more aero style that many long sleeve jerseys seem to lack. This PI jersey is a great deal, and the quality is what you'd expect from Pearl, and at a fair price. I purchased two of these jerseys, in black and in red.
CC describes the fit as form-fitting, and they are correct. This thing is snug! I have bigger than average arms, which makes this jersey a bit of a task to get on, but once it's on it becomes a second skin.
My only complaint, and the only thing keeping me from a 5 star review, is the lack of silicone around the waistband. There is a small section in the back, but nothing in the front, which causes the front of the jersey to ride up.

I purchased this jacket during the recent cyber sale, so the great deal I received only reinforces my feelings about this piece. This jacket is very well made and is very warm. I wore it on several 30 degree days with high winds and I was too warm. Breathability is great, and its very comfortable. The tall neck and long tail section really lock in the warmth and protect from wind blasts. The wind resistance this jacket provides is truly awesome. The three back pockets provide great storage space, and have wide openings, making for easy access, even with bulky winter gloves.
Minor complaints:
- The material used on the sleeves and around the waist is not very stain resistant. I purchased the Black/Neon Yellow jacket for its high visibility and the yellow got some black scuffs on my first wear. I guess my winter gloves are a bit dirty...
- This jacket is form fitting, which is great. But it does not leave a lot of room for layering. I can fit a long sleeve base layer and very thin long sleeve jersey, and thats it. This is all I really need, but worth mentioning if someone wants to invest in an expensive jacket and expects more of an ability to layer.
I highly recommend this jacket if you're looking for a form-fitting, warm winter layer. And if you can score it on discount, don't let it get away!

I like the idea of this thingy. It's comfortable and comforting to have something soft around your neck during cool rides, but this thing is, well, a thing. Basically a bandana with a little stretch. It will keep your neck warm but when you pull it over your face it will fog up your glasses. Breathability is not great and the thin material is tough to adjust when wearing gloves. Bottom line: this thing is a layer for your neck or head. Nothing more.

I like to try different brands, but its hard to beat the quality to value ratio of Pearl Izumi. This jersey is very fitted, very comfortable, and breathability is excellent. I bought this jersey as a basic and versatile layer that could be used during cooler rides and it has not disappointed. When paired with a long sleeve base layer and vest this jersey is comfortable into the 30's. I've also worn it with a sleeveless base layer in the mid 50's and been very comfortable.
A great value. I have this jersey in black and red, and will probably buy another one.

Purchased the Ultegra RD-R8000 short cage as part of an upgrade to full Ultegra, and this rear derailleur is nothing short of awesome. Easy to set up, low profile design, and it's so smooth I often don't feel my shifts through the bike, only in the change in resistance at the crank. Also, this derailleur seems to require much less input from the shifter, which took some getting used to, but I love it.
The RD-R8000 Short Cage weighed 197 grams on my PT scale.

I upgraded my 105 5800 groupset to the new Ultegra R8000. The weight savings and the improvement in performance made this a worthwhile upgrade. While the new Ultegra FD-R8000 will not save you any weight when coming from 105, the improvement in shifting performance is very noticeable, especially when shifting from the small to the big ring. My only complaint is that I found the initial set-up to be somewhat difficult, but once I got it dialed I was very happy.
The FD-R8000 weighed 90 grams on my PT digital scale.

After reading the reviews of this glove, I felt I had no choice but to order a size up. I did, and they fit. That being said, the fit is not perfect. The size Large fits my palm nicely, but the fingers are a bit too long. I find this acceptable only because these gloves are so warm. I've yet to test them in extreme conditions, but 2-3 hours in 30 degree temps resulted in slightly sweaty hands.
Order this glove if you want to keep warm. Just order up!

Great looking bottle cage and grips like an angry gorilla on steroids. Seriously, this thing grips tight. At first it seemed too tight, but now I love it.
Note: The $20 version is the carbon/glass fibre mix, and weighed 35 grams(without screws) on my PT digital scale. Not 29g as advertised. Doesn't matter to me but some might want to know...

Pearl Izumi makes great products. These thermal tights are no exception. Quality is great and they do the job without any flash. I've yet to test these thermal tights in extreme conditions but they were a bit too warm in 30-40 degree weather(winds @ 15mph). I almost rode with warmers instead but just purchased these thermals and wanted to try them. Anyway, they are warm, trust me.
I purchased the size small and they fit relatively true to size. They are a bit long and quite slim in fit from the thighs up, which should be considered when ordering.

Warm because they keep my feet warm. Cool because they look great and the quality is high. I really like Gore products and the way they fit feels like they were made just for me. These overshoes are no different. I purchased the size Large for my size 44 shoes and they fit perfectly. No slack in the material when fitted, but not overly tight either. I have only tested them in cold, dry conditions, but they kept my feet warm on a 3hr ride with temps ranging 25-30 degrees, and moderate winds of 10-12mph. My feet were so comfortable I did not notice them at all. I can't wait to put some serious miles into these overshoes to see how they hold up.

I would highly recommend these for anyone looking for a sleek overshoe capable of withstanding moderate winter conditions.
