Despite some trepidation about buying an unfamiliar brand, I purchased this product after much frustration with a former go-to famous brand synthetic fleece that I loved but that retained odors so well that I avoided wearing it. I wanted a mid-weight, full-zip merino wool product and this fit the bill. The Denali exceeded my expectations largely because of the unexpected benefits of an all-merino product - natural elasticity without the spandex, super soft feel against the skin, nice detailing like the zipper "garage" at the top closure, and a beautiful finish on the fabric, not to mention 100% renewable no-petroleum fiber. Add wool's natural wicking and lack of odor retention, and a very reasonable price, and I have a product I love. Thinking of buying another one in case this one ever wears out

I am a big Kuhl fan, their products consistently show good design, great materials, and high-quality construction. These pants do not disappoint. Typical Kuhl freedom of movement and comfort. The material is a fairly tight and heavy canvas-like fabric, which has a great finish and should hold up well as well as providing good protection from winter winds on my frequent hikes here in the high desert of northern New Mexico. My only disappointment is partly my fault, I've gained a few pounds around the middle and I find that the snap closure pops open. There isn't a secondary button closure as on some Kuhl pants. Good motivation to crank up the hiking and get rid of a few extra pounds, but i wish the closure had a bit more staying power.
