“Mountains are the means, the man is the end. The goal is not to reach the top of the mountains, but to improve the man.”
Hey what's crackin? I'm John Tait, I'm 28 prior service Army Vet. Active duty Infantry. One tour to Iraq. Well I grew up falling in love with the outdoors in Desoto State Park in Northern Alabama (ROLL TIDE). Now I am currently in Kentucky and have found myself in Red River Gorge in the Daniel Boone National Forest. I like to hike and camp and prefer to do it alone or in a very small group 3 or less. I've gotten into rock climbing though I don't have a ton of experience I am doing it more and more. Kayaking as well and am now starting to try a little white water. I am currently training my body and preparing to do a Hike Thru in the Appalachian Trail, and hopefully after the PCT as well. If anyone is close and wants to hike or what ever hit me up and if anyone has questions weather its outdoors or military related please feel free to ask...
