John Swrote a review of Hestra Army Leather Gore-Tex Glove - Men's on February 19, 2018
Familiarity: I've used it several times
I did a lot of research on gloves before making a big purchase like this and after reading other reviews and using these gloves in Utah, I am happy to share my opinion.
My reason for shopping for new gloves were to get a warm glove. This glove exceeded my expectations. At the top of Alta it was 25 degrees F with 30+ mph winds. Not sure where that puts the wind chill, but it was cold enough to find out if these were warm, and they kept my hands toasty.
The next day at Deer Valley it was hot; which meant my hands were hot. It didn't bother me, but I wouldn't use these on warm days if you have the option of a lighter glove.
My final day was at Solitude and it snowed at the top and rained at the bottom. Being goretex the glove performed perfectly. If you do decided to purchase this glove do expect the white leather to get dirty and remember to treat the leather as well. I am very happy with the glove and the service Matthew P provided at Backcountry.
