Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Height: 6' 0"
Weight: 185 lbs
Size Purchased: 36x32

I could write a long paragraph...I wont'. Just like most said...a really, really good pair of pants. Quit looking, just buy. You won't be sorry. I am 55 yrs old and don't have the body shape that I used to. I was worried that the design and use would result in them being too tight. Wrong! they fit perfect and were true to size. May be just a small bit long. Perfect with boots though. Look great on an old guy, with no ass, if I don't say so myself. There may be other pants that compete but if there is a product out there that is better, let me know, I want it.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Filter clogged on the first day of the very first trip (5 days). Used only in relatively clean (by appearance) and flowing water. I cleaned over and over, as suggested, with no luck. I was really excited after I received it during home tests. Water flow was initially great...really fast with big volume. When it clogged it did not just slow down, it all but stopped. Thankfully I had brought tablets. I'm ordering a replacement filter with fingers crossed that I just got a defect. We will see!

Happy Wife......

Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Fit: Runs small
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 135 lbs
Size Purchased: XL

Purchased as a gift. Wife loves it. She reports that it fits well, very comfortable. She wore in some light rain more than a few time and It repels rain great. She wears the jacket as an everyday jacket. Really likes because it doesn't get too too warm. Really, works well and warm when paired with rain shell. The jacket is very stylish looking. The Oasis color is a brilliant blue, very attractive. Molting, with her jacket, is almost non existent. Very plush, soft feel. Has held up to pack straps and backpacking activities very well. Fit is trim...which equals small. I purchased XL because I knew she would wear causal most of the time. Perfect fit. No snags, tears or abrasions. Not bad to smell like campfire smoke. Freshens up quickly. Packs very small. Overall great jacket! Both myself and my wife are very happy. Another great product OR.

Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size
Height: 6' 00"
Weight: 185 lbs
Size Purchased: large

Bought this jacket on recommendation of Gearhead. He was spot on. This is a super jacket. 6'-185 the large is a perfect fit. It is indeed a longer cut but I love it! Very comfortable to wear around town but where this jacket excels is in the backcountry. Recently used on 21 mile 3/2 hike on Pinhoti Trail Alabama. Temps ranged from mid 50's to mid teens, with wind and snow. Yes, I said snow...and lots of it. The jacket performed great. Keep me dry and warm in very harsh conditions. I am hot natured...mid 50's, as outer jacket over long sleeve tee, is as warm as I would want to wear it and be active. Very, very warm when used as a mid layer under a rain shell. Even wore in sleeping bag mid teens. Cozy, Cozy. The hood drawstring is the best and most comfortable design I have owned. Packs great...and looks very cool. I like so much that I'm considering buying in another color. Adriatic now. Hard to go wrong with this jacket.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Just completed 5 days 4 nights 57 miles on the Florida National Scenic Trail. Most retailers pitched this pack as entry level and price point. Price is great but the pack is much more than "entry level". I packed at 30lbs. This backpack took every ounce like a champ. Very nicely balanced. I'm 54 and had not done a hike near this substantial in over 35 years. I hiked 8-10 hrs a day and not a single issue with pain or soreness from this pack .Too small Keen's...yes. Pack...a big no. Zero rubbing, Zero blisters. Zero back or shoulder pain. Not even a red mark. I was truly surprised. Also, it rained hard (day before Nate). The material shed the water just as billed. Not a single item, inside, got wet. Under tree limbs, thru underbrush and rolled down a hill. Not an abrasion, tear or mark. Only complaints and reasons for 4 stars ...Zippers suck. Small, flimsy and difficult to zip. The pack could also use a couple of good, old fashioned daisy chains. Hey Deuter...with these issues solved you would, in my opinion, have a solid 5 star backpack. Even so. This is a wonderful backpack. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. I finally made a good choice. I can't wait to use it again.
