Familiarity: I've used it several times

I ordered these for a park bike once I switched to flats. I had HT flats on my everyday bike, but the bearings in the HT’s failed on me and had to put these on it. More grip than the HT’s, and a slightly larger platform. The color I ordered didn’t go with the scheme I was going for, but it might be the direction I go now! I am very pleased with the bad boys.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

After riding clips for +20 years, I felt it was time to grow up and transition to flats. After doing my research and through information from friends, it came down to the HT pedals. I got the cool looking purple ones and couldn't wait to try them out. Unfortunately, I was recovering from an injury when they arrived and had to wait a couple of weeks to ride them. My first ride I noticed my left foot was solid, grip for days, but my right foot (non-dominant) was not so good. I thought that it was from the muscle memory of the clips, so I accepted it and continued to ride them. After three weeks of normal use (normal as in more Cross country and less trail/jumps/drops) as I was getting more comfortable on these pedals, I started to get a weird creak in the right pedal. I followed the guidelines for loosening the pedal and the creak went away for one ride. Last week (4 weeks after I started to ride them) the creak came back with a vengeance, and noticed that it felt like I was riding on the spindle. I also had a difficult time keeping my right foot on the pedal while pedaling.
I dismounted the bike on the trail to inspect the creak, and that is when I realized the pedal was dead. It would not not spin freely, and what I thought was the spindle, was actually the side of the pedal as it rotated around with the crank.
I have to say I am disappointed with these, because the grip is fantastic but longevity is not good. Hoping for a warranty replacement, but in limbo now waiting on a response.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I recently got a Santa Cruz 5010 and my water bottle cages would not work due to frame design. I reached out to a Gearhead and they pointed me into the direction of this. They were not wrong. I will be using these cages on all mountain bikes from here on out! They hold tight on the local gnar and senders, and the best part is I can get my bottle in and out when I need it.

I ordered this along with the Patagonia Bike Henley jersey to give them both a try. I like that this shirt has a storage pocket on the side where the Patagonia one does not. What caught me by surprised was the weight of this shirt... It is heavy! But even with it being a heavier shirt, it breathes really well. After a few sweaty humid rides, I know that the shirt will not hinder the ride. I am not a small guy so I got the XL and love the baggy feel.

I have been primarily using it with my trainer with the weather changing. It seems to work well and is accurate. Synced easily to my watch and I can compare the data from Trainer Road to what Garmin says that I am doing.

I had lost three water bottles on my favorite local trail with my previous cage. I purchased two of these, one for my road bike and one for my everyday mountain bike. I have no concerns with the cage on my road bike, but needed to be sure that this cage would be able to handle the rough stuff on the trails. Three rides later and I still have a water bottle! I like the three position options to be able to offset the bottle to your dominate hand. So far it is a good cage.

I got this for the cooler months ahead and for our last trip to Colorado for downhill riding. It appeared to be small for being an XL. I put all my pads on (elbow and torso) and the shirt fit fine. Material is light enough to keep you cool on warm days ( have not worn this on a hot day).

These do run large, but oh so soft. I have one XL that is great for layering underneath. My newest one is a large and fits more like a shirt should. I am 6’0 225lbs and in Patagonia’s world sizes vary depending on style. For Slim Fit, I am a XL; for regular and relaxed fits I am a large. The flannel is durable and great for working out doors, hiking, and loose enough for mountain biking too. Love this shirt!
