Joe Torreano's Bio

Born and raised in Michigan. Grew up skiing and ski racing at Snow Snake Ski "Resort". When I graduated from high school living in the mountains and skiing everyday was my dream. That following August I moved out to Utah. In October of that year the Wasatch Mountains received 120 inches of snow in 6 days, I was hooked. 12 Years later I am still here chasing the next powder day, perfect trail or great adventure.

I now live in Park City with my wife and our dog. We love to bike, ski, run, camp, fish and travel. Contact me anytime if you have questions about products, my reviews or if you are interested in me being your personal Gearhead.

I had the opportunity to go on a camping trip with my company a couple weeks ago. I took this pad and couldn't be happier with it. It doesn't pack down like a backpacking pad but it also offers way more comfort. I slept directly on the ground without a tent and this pad held up against the rocks, twigs, etc. This is a great car camping sleeping pad!

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This portable and individual french press mug is five stars. It works like a charm and is easy. I also own a bodum french press portable mug and this is far superior. The design doesn't allow for any of the coffee grounds to escape and the heat saving sleeve keeps your drink nice and hot or cold. Haven't used this yet for loose leaf tea but imagine it would also work well. Highly recommend"

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Gave this to my wife as a Christmas gift and her initial impressions are good. The hooks can be cumbersome if you're trying to get into the pack quickly but she liked that she could transition this for her everyday pack and hiking. It fit everything she wanted it to and used it for her stuff and our toddlers. Color is awesome and material is very durable. Excited to use this more!

Fit: Runs large

We’ve only used this a couple of times but so far so good. Zipper was a bit sticky at first but seems to be loosening up and runs large but we knew it would and hope to get two winters out of it. Have the matching pants and little man looks fly on the hill.
