Nice jacket, not the lightest but for the money it’s a good down jacket. However, these people claiming it’s good for subzero temps are off their rockers. It’s basically a thicker, warmer puffy and still has sewn through baffles. It’s a step up from any of the lightweight down sweaters in terms of warmth and weight but don’t expect it to be a winter parka.

I bought this pack for mostly sport climbing, with occasional trad days. I loaded it with 12 draws, harness, chalk bag, shoes, water, helmet and puffy, and didn’t have enough room for a 60m rope. If you don’t mind strapping it on top or dangling your helmet off the back, it’s fine. However, I found the rope strap to be barely long enough with a 60m rope in a bag. Nice, heavy duty pack though with a good frame suspension. I will be getting the creek 50 instead.

This is the lightest (13 oz) softshell you can buy. However, functionally I would say it's not the best. It sheds snow fairly well but will still require occasional brushing off. It blocks wind fairly well but not if it is really blowing or really cold. The tradeoff is that it is quite breathable and you can wear it in more conditions than a heavier shell without overheating. The weight (if you do end up carrying it) is the other major benefit. So when it is cold, but not too cold, and windy, but not too windy, this thing is great.

I bought these as a lightweight breathable softshell for winter hiking. They shed snow better than regular hiking pants but you still have to brush them off occasionally. They breath well but this means they also don't block wind well. They fit snug like hip huggers when I got them but after 2 days the waist stretched out and now I need a belt. If you are looking for softshell pants buy softshell pants. If you are looking for hiking pants, these will do.
