Face fabric wets out but you stay dry
4 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I used this jacket for a 400 mile mountain bikepacking trip in Scotland and on the whole it did well. It fits comfortable and breathes amazingly well for a waterproof piece. I do find it strange though that face fabric seams to wet out almost instantly, even right after I washed it with a detergent meant for waterproof clothing. The water won't soak all the way through so you stay dry but it's still a bit strange. I should mention that I have had similar experiences with my Gore-tex active jacket (which is also 2.5 layer). Still having the extra breathability for a high output sport like mountain biking is worth this small trade off in my opinion.

These gloves are my first pair without a velcro closure and I have to say I like it a lot more than I expected. They are comfortable, stay in place and are easy to get on and off. Plus they breathe really well. They don't have any padding so I have gotten some wrist fatigue with them but the thinner material does give me better bar feel. Overall just another great Endura product!

So easy to use!

This bag is incredibly easy to use and makes the hassle of flying with a bike much easier! Just pull the wheels, pedals and handlebars off and then follow the illustrated directions on the bag. This is made even easier by the color-coded buckles. I went one step further and pulled the derailleur off as well and let it hang by the cable. While not necessary I felt that it helped to protect the somewhat delicate component from the rough treatment of airline baggage handlers.

Once it's packed up the generous handles and wheels make it easy to roll up to the check-in. It does remain quite large so getting it in the trunk of a taxi probably isn't going to happen but the fact is that bikes just aren't that small.

I got these for my Mom, here's what she has to say:

I've always loved merino wool socks for the comfort factor but for whatever reason these last much longer and are only slightly less soft. I'm totally sold on Darn Tough over any other sock!

"I have been wanting a slide in winter clog, warm to the feet, sole meant for ice for a long time. Just for those quick jaunts outside - grab the mail, let out the dog, get the dog back in - without having to sit and lace up."

I got this as a gift for my mom's dog, here's what she has to say.

The perfect fitting harness for big city walking, so I am not having to jerk on his neck. I didn't even know this products existed. They get 5 stars from me!

This pump is really great! It is very smooth and the wood grips are very comfortable to hold but they totally ruin it with the thread-on head. Not only is the head a pain to get on and off but something about mine also keeps the gauge from registering any pressure until you actually pump some air through it. Then if you try to use the bleed off valve it will let out a tiny amount of air and then stop working. Finally sometimes when you pull it off it will take your valve core with it. The head does come with a sort of tool built into to allow you to re-insert the core but then you have to re-pump up the tire starting at zero pressure. If you buy this pump plan on swaping out the head for something better.

Simple and solid
4 5

I've put in about 200 miles of bikepacking with this and it does a solid job. It's easy to attach to your bike and doesn't swing around on much on techy singletrack descents. I've been keeping my sleeping bag and clothing in which makes it soft and it will sometimes sort of bend down and rub my tire on a big hit but it's never taken me more than about 10 seconds to readjust the straps to stop this from happening.

I've been using this thing for bikepacking on everything from flat dirt roads to techy singletrack descents and it just feels solid! No bounce at all! It will start to rotate around bars very slowly on sustained rough stuff but so far I haven't had to adjust it more than once a day. Plus you can remove the dry bag from the mounting system with incredible ease so you can pack it when it's not attached to your bike, which is much less awkward.

This thing is light, small, powerful and adjustable! It fits nicely into my 750ml titanium pot along with a small fuel canister. Once you fire it up it kicks off a ton of heat but the regulator gives you fantastic simmer control. The ignitor has worked for me so far but the Jetboil ignitors are notoriously unreliable, bring a lighter/matches/flint and steel!

It's fine

It holds stuff in a convenient place but the rolltop is awkward to get tight unless it's really full. The front strap is also really short with the shape of many top tube/down tube joints you end up having to slide it way back on the top tube to be able to use it. This takes away a lot of the stability you get from the headset strap and it tends to flop off to one side. I fixed this problem by using a Voile strap instead of the included velcro (see picture) but it's still less than ideal.
