Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I was looking for something that would protect my knees from a spill, I wanted them be light and not too hot. I'm not a down hiller, just a trail rider that needs light protection for my knees, the Fox Racing Enduro Knee Sleeve seems to fit my needs well, they stay in place and not too hot. Measure your knee carefully before purchasing to make sure you get the right fit, I got a size small, I'm a six foot tall woman with thin legs, they were a bit tight first but they did stretch ia little after a few rides.

This helmet is sold as having three main points that sets it about all the rest,
lightweight, more protection and cooer. It is no doubt a light helmet, in fact I have never owned a helmet as light as the Smith Forefront 2. More protection with the use of Koroyd, makes sense and I love that about it. The cooler part, not sold on that, yes it maybe be cooler that older model but it's not as cool as other helmets i have owned. For me this is not a deal breaker because I didn't buy it for that reason and it works ok for cooling. I hate bulky helmets and that was the main reason I wanted this helmet, because of the Koroyd material used in construction they can make the foam part thiner and there for a more sleek design and lighter weight. The Forefront 2 also has a couple of things I didn't know till after I bought it, the fit is outstanding and the three position visor is really cool. 5 stars from this mountain biker !

I already have the Singletrack baggy shorts and I like them very much, well made and durable, though they are a little warm for hot summer rides. So I thought I would try the Singletrack Lite, they are also great! they are made with a lighter weight fabric and fit more snug than my other pair. Definitely cooler and lighter just like the name implies. 2 zippered pockets in the front, one in the back and zippered vents in the legs for extra cooling. Endura makes quality shorts!

This pack is the perfect combination of funtionallity and simplicity, everything on this pack is well thought out, felt lined phone pocket, nice orginized pockets on the inside for tool kit and pump, enough room for a coat, small pocket at the bottom outside for snacks, hip belt with pockets for easy access without removing the pack, nice sleek design that fits close to your back. It has everything you need for day rides without being over complicated, it seems well made and sturdy, its simple and that's what i love about it!

This shoe had mixed reviews, some said that sole lack of grip on flat pedals and others said that the grip was fine. It was also reported that the shoe was too narrow and you need to size up. I have always used the Five Ten shoes for mountain biking because they have good grip on flats but they are too wide for me and they are also heavy. So I thought it was time for a change, I have a narrow foot and I did note some complaints about the shoe being narrow, so that is great for me, my only concern now is the lack of grip on my pedals. When I got the shoes and tried them on, the fit was perfect but if you have a wide foot you may want to steer clear. So my next test is the grip, I used these shoes now over 50 miles of rough single track without any problems, sometimes my Five Tens had too much grip, even getting my foot stuck at times and it is also hard to adjust the position of my foot. With the X-ALP Launch shoe there is less grip and its not hard to move your feet on the pedals but my foot never slipped off unexpectedly under power or during an assent. Let me add that I have the One Up Components flat pedals, they have long pins, if you have a pedal with short or worn down pins you may slip some with these shoes. They work for me but maybe not for everyone?

When you think about buying a new pair of hiking boots, you might think, heavy, clunky and the break-in period my be painful. I was pleasantly surprised at how none of that is true with the Scarpa Mojito, they felt great from the first hike. No break in needed, light but yet supportive. With all that said, you do need a good fit, they come in half sizes too. I ordered two pair just a half size apart and wore each of them around the house for several hours before picking the one to keep and returned the other to Backcountry, they paid the return shipping !

I ride 2 to 3 times a week 10 to 15 miles on rough techy trails, the dropper is up and down a lot, after a couple hundred miles it is broke in and still works great!
PNW also has great customer service, I have contacted them a few times with questions and they always get back to me within one day.

I love the feel and style of my Shredly MTB shorts, I really like the cargo pocket with a snap for my iPhone. I got the first pair in a 12 and they were way to big, the sizing seems off, recommend getting a size down. Luckily Backcountry has a great return policy and i exchanged them for a 10, very happy with my shorts!
