I didn’t know what to expect with this jacket, but it quickly became my favorite Patagonia product that I own. It functions both as a light jacket (perfect for travel too!), it’s water-resistant, and I use it as a midlayer for skiing. Lightweight, warm, soft, and durable. It’s perfect! I now own two of them.

I first bought the 165 JJ UL, and although they are similar skis, they are still different. I like the snowboardy-feel of the UL version and how easy they are to use and they are great for backcountry, but in terms of stability and speed, it just wasn't there. So I took a risk and got the 175 JJ. Seems like a HUGE ski for my small self at 5'4" and 135 lbs. But I ride 156-158 men's snowboards, so I'm used to big. Although they are large skis and took a day to adjust to, I was suddenly CHARGING the way I saw other skiers charge down slopes. It wasn't just me that noticed this, my partner could tell I was skiing faster and with more confidence too. I LOVE these skis, and I'm glad I got them big! They are a little harder to turn, but I'm skiing so much faster and in control that it's a great tradeoff.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

First off, why are there so many specific and proprietary bike parts? Why does one BB need to have a unique number of notches to differentiate it from another one?

Aside from that, I only used this tool once to swap a BB from one bike to another. After one use, the part's metal had bent and was completely stuck on the 3/8

I tried a lot of ski pants before deciding on these. They aren't form-fitting or tight, which at first bothered me style-wise, but they also aren't too loose. I appreciated the room to wear my knee pads and have stretch and space for easy walking/touring. I LOVE the material - it has a magical stretch while still being waterproof, windproof, and warm-ish that I haven't found in any other pants. Also, I get insanely cold thighs and butt and these are working fine. I am wearing layers underneath but I'd rather do that than have thick pants that are too hot on warmer days.

I'm 5'5" / 135 and more square shaped. I could fit either small or medium but went medium just for the extra room for the belly :)

Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought these as a gift and they're great, the fingers feel great and there's a natural articulation which helps. They are advertised for ice, but in my opinion they're aren't going to excel at that, more of a ski resort glove o, maybe if you're the second and cleaning the screws but I wouldn't want to be pumped trying to place a screw in theses gloves.

I gave this as a gift for a canyoneering friend to throw over his normal wetsuit and place in his pack for those long wet canyons. He loves it and it adds a fair amount of warmth.

If you want a really expensive leather palmed glove that fit great go for it. However do not expect these to keep you warm for ice climbing, they are a tight fit and pretty comfortable, just not warm.

Bought these as a gift and he loves them, they're very breathable and work great for ice climbing and touring. They keep you warm and breathe at the same time. He's a size 33" waist with an athletic build, they aren't to tight in the thighs, the belt is fully extended though, not giving much wiggle room for layers.

Bought as a gift but ended up returning them, they were a little hard to get on and off, ended up going with the ones that have handles on the side of the boot. He's a size 10.5 and the 11 fit great.

Bought this for my nephew to use at the bike park and terrain park when skiing, it fits great and covers some vital areas that should help protect him in case of a fall. He says it's not very restrictive, his complaint is it's a little warm to wear.
