Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These nifty jugs are just the bees' knees. Cold stays cold, hot stays hot, and you can throw them at people you don't like and they never crack. I'm a particular fan of the mint color for gifting to people I REALLY like. An understated feature that I find desirable is that you can wash this wide mouth out with soup, no problem. Combined with the straw lid, this jug's a keeper.

I love my hydroflask, but I'm just clumsy enough that drinking on the rim comes with a heavy risk of spillage, not to mention transferring my chapstick. I love the sippy straw, because it's clean, doesn't spill and is easy to sanitize. And this might seem minor, but I get a good volume of liquid with every sip - like Goldilocks - not too much, nor too little... this guy is juuuuuust right.

I work with a couple different vendors who go above and beyond to meet our business needs. What better gift than a water bottle that goes above and beyond to look great and perform well? The temperature maintenance is so good, it borders on magical, the colors are really kinda cheerful, and when paired with the wide mouth drinking straw its actually really easy to carry. I love these guys and will probably continue to buy them - turns out it's kinda making me popular.

I love my hydroflask so much that I bought one for my husband who regularly drinks beer on hot days without hydrating. If he does this on his day off, I get home from work and he's tired and cranky - full on no go for the wife. It's no small thing to say that this 40 ouncer may have saved our marriage. He drinks, then he drinks, and he feels great and happy - all because the hydroflask is large capacity, temperature controlled, and easy to sip from (if you get the sippy straw). I think we're going to make it.

Is there anything better than a Yeti? Truly, there aren't very many brands that provide such consistent performance and durability - and this cooler is no exception. It looks cool, feels cool and basically just IS cool. It's also crazy heavy to haul around, even without being fully stocked with beer. For those cross-fitters out there, that might be a perk, but frankly, in my family it means this gets loaded in the car, unloaded at the camp site, and then stays put until we load up to go home. Luckily it's bear and critter proof so it's not too much of an issue (if the bears and critters have tried to invade, I wouldn't know - not a scratch on the thing). Overall, this is a great buy & I look forward to updating in about 50 years on its overall durability.

When I realized I'd be pregnant throughout the summer and still need to dress up on occasion, I went on the hunt for a cute summer sandal that wouldn't make my feet look like bloated sausages, be comfortable enough to walk and stand, and also cute enough for baby shower dresses and all that jazz. Enter the Daniela. I've had nothing but good luck with Danskos in general, so this sandal seemed like a pretty good bet. I've now worn it several times for hours on end with no complaints. They may not be able to cure the foot swelling, but they don't make it worse either... that's a pretty big claim these days. I love the center strap which keeps the shoe from looking too "old lady," and the mild give in the ankle strap - the shoe doesn't flap around, but it doesn't cut off my circulation either.

I have nothing but enthusiasm for this beautiful watch. I purchased the gold/saddle version and have received compliments left and right every time I've worn it. It's classic, clean design at its best. The gold isn't too brassy or too silver and the rich cognac-esque color on the saddle band is lovely. I've worn it with jeans and an oxford, or with the favorite LBD and it works both ways. Best of all, it tells time accurately... kind of a big deal in a watch. I love it.

I bought this for a nice little surprise for the hubs - he has no patience for fashion, but loves watches so this gem was perfect. At an easy price, it has a timeless sort of appeal. The blue face with the leather band is a classic combo that he can wear to work or to play and feel comfortable either way. So far, the quality seems to be good, he's not very rough on watches, but still the stitching on the band is solid, the face doesn't scratch easily and the clasp holes are keeping their shape. Importantly, he's a happy camper and thinks I'm a great wife.

I love these guys. My feet started to stretch and grow due to pregnancy and all I wanted was a pair of comfortable and supportive shoes that don't look like they're salivating for my grandma's orthopedic inserts. These fit the bill, 100%. They look great, and the leather is soft enough that I haven't gotten blisters, even with all day wearing. I was a 10.5 (41 Euro) prior to the baby, and now these 11s are just right.

I've had these for about a year and couldn't live without them. When one of my besties said she was going to Europe for a wee walk-about, I knew she needed these! She's beyond stoked (gifting win), and is breaking them in before her trip... I'll update with photos soon!

I regularly get too caught up in some kind of work sort of business to remember to hydrate. On the off chance that I have some hugenormous hipster mason jar filled, the water is inevitably lukewarm by the time I remember to drink it which somehow seems mildly revolting. So, my problems are: drinking enough water and keeping a higher volume at a palatable temperature. Enter the HydroFlask: all of my life's problems have been solved. Or at least those two. I bought the Citron so everyone around me knows that I'm hydrating, but more importantly - my water is always cold and crisp and I only have to refill twice during the day. Pro-Tip: if it, hypothetically, were to fall out of one's car onto the asphalt and bounce and roll across a parking lot, it wouldn't be damaged in the slightest and the function wouldn't suffer.

Fit: Runs small

I bought this coat while enduring a particularly dry and frigid Utah winter... a bit of a shock to my Pacific Northwestern bones. After a week of just not quite getting warm enough, I invested in this coat... mainly because it came in my size. I purchased the Onyx version and my first impression was that the color was dead on. It's a cool gray without drifting into lavender territory and the furry color is a great contrast. The down fill is particularly cozy, but what I love is how soft the lining is, without sticking to whatever I'm wearing underneath. Is there anything more embarrassing than trying to take your coat off and turning it inside out 4 different ways while halfway pulling off your underclothes? I mean, I guess there is... but it's just not a problem with this coat. The pockets are at the perfect level, which is great for a thigh-length jacket, and I especially appreciate the inside tech pocket. I can thread my earbuds (yes, I still use the cord), up the collar and keep my phone tucked safely inside. No iphonesicle, no strangling, tangly cords and I stay snug as a bug. Love this one.

Bought this as a gift for the dude as watches are about the only accessory he ever gets excited about... and excited he was. I got the green & brown version and the colors were incredibly rich. Fine tuned mechanisms and a great band fit. Since he managed to lose it last month, I'll actually get him the same one again, it's that cool.

I bought two of these - one for each nephew, ages 3 & 5. They both have massive domes, so I was a little unsure of the fit... it's perfect for the 5 year old and slightly loose on the 3 year old, although the size guide indicated it would be appropriate for his head circumference. At any rate, they're still getting used to them, but so far the noggins are in tact!

I bought these for my husband because our house has been freezing and he has this maddening habit of using me for his sole heat source. If you're familiar with the first law of thermodynamics, you know this means that my darling parasite is simultaneously draining my very own body heat. No more! He now owns quality cotton flannel pants that fit perfectly, have appropriate loft and fiber count to provide insulation, and most importantly... shield me from the icicles he calls legs. The shirt is thick and the sleeves are long which keeps him toasty warm all night long. The olive plaid has a faintly festive vibe, which I particularly like. Overall, we're still married and we're both warm. I call this product a win.

I actually bought two pairs of these because my husband has a nasty habit of stealing my old fashioned socks. It's weird, but that's marriage. At any rate, we both love them. They have the kind of loft and thickness that feels like they'll break in to be super soft with enough padding to both keep our feet warm and dry and cushion any tighter winter shoes. We love them.

I've been wearing shoes damn near my entire life. That's a lot of shoes. And among all those hundreds, nay thousands of shoes, these stand out as some of the greats. I was leery of buying wedges for a winter shoe, especially ones that looked so high. Turns out, they don't feel high at all, and the tread on the sole is so well designed that I actually spent some time hiking around a waterfall in these. They are wonderfully comfortable and look great with jeans, tights and a dress, or leggings. I usually am most comfortable in size 10.5, but as they were sold out I went with a 10 and have found that I can wear them with thicker socks, but am most comfortable with thinner material.

Apparently I have a massive dome, because this (admittedly adorable) hat doesn't want to stay on. It's super cute, lightweight and provides just enough nose freckle shielding, but I'd say that if you're more comfortable in a size large (I think my head is about 17.5"), making think twice. There's a great drawstring inside for smaller heads, but for us mega-skulls, it's just not a great fit. Three stars for look and quality.

My Nonnie and Papa used to bring one of these bad boys to my soccer games when I was a kid, so really... I bought this out of pure nostalgia. Imagine my joy then when this thermos functioned as well, if not better, than any of my other beverage holders. Early morning hikes, photo trips, and river runs are vastly improved by hot coffee throughout the day and the Stanley thermos provides exactly that. I fill it (holds almost a whole pot) with coffee before scooting out the door, have some sips out of the lid/cup on the way and if it's an easy canoe trip, continue my piping hot caffeine fix through the morning.

These shoes are my new favorites... enough to order in multiple colors. They hold the foot like traditional Danskos, which means they have a snug-ish toe box, but slide off the heel with each stride. There's a very slight rocking motion that accompanies each step and it takes a minute to get used to, but is then very pleasant. I like the light-weight wood sole and feel like the arch support is really great. If I wear them all day without tights I can get some blisters around the top of my foot, but after full days of walking I never have foot fatigue in these! Better yet, I've been wearing things nearly daily for a month and they show no signs of wear - incredible quality!
