Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I have had these gloves for over ten years. They are beastly. After original waterproofing, they have stayed relatively waterproof. The liners have packed out and lost a bit of warming properties, but that will be solved with new liners I believe. There is a little split between the pointer and middle finger that has been repaired once, but I am going to have it repaired again before the snow flies.
The only situation where these gloves fall short is deep storm riding days when you're not going to take your gloves off at all. They are loose around the cuff which makes for awesome accessibility but leaves a big space for cold and snow to get in. In those situations, I wear the Army Leather or XTR shorts.
