Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I finally caved and got an X-mug and the X-bowl and they are so worth it. Anyone who backpacks knows that sometimes even small pieces can make your whole packing experience pretty tricky if they are awkward shapes (i.e. plastic mug and bowl.) It becomes obvious when you have to do it day after day. The flat collapsed shape just magically makes the puzzle pieces fit so much easier! Make packing easier, just get it.

This jacket really has paved the way, now nearly every major company is releasing their version of the Nano-Air. It's stretchy, soft to the touch, wicks sweat incredibly well, lots of pockets, good fit. I sweat a lot so I need my gear to breath and traditional puffies were just too clammy for me. Having said that, wind pours through this jacket, so a shell is necessary if you're facing a cold breeze.

This jacket allows me to be comfortable with every literally every activity, from couch lounging to charging up a mountain side. It even looks great around town!

I no longer own a fleece and a puffy jacket because the Nano-Air combines all of the best features of both. This combined with a good base layer and the OR Ferrosi Softshell gets me through 99% of my life.

Excellent fabric, comfortable, quick dry time, no undies required! I'm not normally a short-shorts kind of guy, but these don't make you feel overly exposed.

Great for running, hiking, swimming, river wear; really any activity where you don't want swampy nether regions! I have 2 pairs now.

Super light, compact, waterproof, tough, and plenty of tie-downs for endless shelter configurations. Just bring along your paracord and creativity!

I've constructed many different shelters with this and slept through pouring rain and dumping snow without ever fearing leakage. Worth having along even on day hikes to whip up an impromptu rain shelter! This is a perfect product any outdoorsman should have.

Super comfortable out of the box and they lasted for many miles. I paired them with some thick SOLE insoles; a perfect combo!

They aren't as beefy as the description makes them sound, so I wouldn't hesitate to buy these just as day-hikers, but I also personally prefer a very stiff boot for backpacking and off-trail hiking.

These have a ton of seams and stitching, which although they don't affect comfort in any way, they made me question their longevity. After 2 hard seasons though I never had any problems.

These were excellent boots, but I've since upgraded to a pair of Lowa Tibet GTX Hi's because of their stiffer, taller, and burlier build.

I tell all of my friends they need one of these, and I mean it! Warm, breathable, stretchy, comfy, excellent features. It's not skin tight (kind of a dad-bod (chubby man) cut) but it's not baggy enough to be bothersome. The thumb holes are the best I've ever felt, super ergonomic design that doesn't cut into your hand and the hood also fits perfectly around your noggin. The waist zipper makes going #2 super easy, even when squatting in the woods. Wear it for weeks on end and it still won't smell at all! So much better that 2 piece top/bottom combo for cold weather, especially under bibs. Perfect mountain man attire, just get one!

Perfect belay/ cold weather camping pant. Super warm, nice athletic fit. They won't be sagging off your butt like some gangster pants! The outer material is quite thin so I wouldn't try them in a downhill skiing setting, but for low speed activities with little chance of abrasion they are great. The full length side zips are my favorite feature.

These booties are good, but my biggest objection is their water resistance. In a mountaineering setting walking around a snowy camp they wet out very quickly, and in those conditions they really never dry out again. The insulation is also very lumpy and unevenly distributed. Considering the price they are still a good buy, but not a bomber product.
-Size 12 shoe- 3XL fit well

There are plenty of reviews here telling you how great these pants are and I totally agree. I've had them for a few seasons now and they are still as good as new. Stretchy, breathable, tough, quick dry time, and surprisingly water/snow proof. I've sat down in wet snow for 20 minutes at a time in these pants and didn't even get a wet bottom! Very intuitive and well executed design.

This is my first pair of solid uninsulated softshell pants and I'm so impressed. Just like everyone has said, they are stretchy, windproof, super durable, they fit great, have a wide temperature range, and my favorite part is that they are very water resistant! I can kneel or sit down in super wet snow for several minutes and they won't be wetting out at all. I've worn them downhill and XC skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, mountaineering, sledding and everything in temps from frigid into the 40s and they've always performed perfectly!

This will take the temperature edge off, keeping most water from freezing or boiling, but it really isn't a mobile thermos. The worst part about this is that it's so bulky it doesn't fit in the bladder pouch of many smaller packs. I would recommend to just stick to uninsulated Camelbak bladders (which are amazing) or Nalgenes, and just bypass this piece of gear.

This boot is totally a classic. The wool liner and full grain leather takes the quality of this boot way up and makes them feel timeless. They are super waterproof and super warm, great attributes to have in a snow boot. My only complaint is that they are very clunky and fairly unrefined. Even still, when paired with an extra heavy Smartwool sock I have comfortably gone on many long steep hikes in these. They are not a technical marvel by any means, but they are a great snow boot.

All around great things to say about this vest. Lightweight, super compact, perfect fit, and damn warm for its size. It is not particularly breathable, but it is acceptable, especially in a vest. The most impressive thing about this vest to me is the dry time. Wow, it can go from soppy wet to bone dry after just a few minutes in the sun! Great piece you'll never have to worry about again.

I can't say I had very high hopes for these, but they're just great! The most important part of making any rain gear effective is to have it with you whenever you may need it. The super lightweight and compact construction makes it a no brainer to take these on any outing. I wish they had some sort of device to tighten the waist other than the loosely cut elastic waistband, but overall I love the shear simplicity of these pants.

I'm still a young lad, but when I put this hat on I reminisce to the days of old when I would romp around in the sun all day without the slightest concerns of skin cancer or liver spots. How could I have been so naive? Although when I'm trying to look really hip or feeling just plain risky I leave this hat at home, but when I want a lightweight, comfortable, high quality hat to bring on adventures, this is a great choice.

To sum this item up, its big. Questionably too big. About as big as an iPhone folded in half. It sends out a massive shower of sparks and the large plastic handles do make it easy to hold onto while striking, but it is pretty bulky in a backpack. I would recommend putting a longer paracord on, but that is an easy at-home fix.

If you're looking for a cheap vest, this is great, but expect to receive a cheap vest. The material is a standard fleece, soft to the touch and comfortable, but the build is rather unrefined. Really boxy cut, no special features, which is understandable for such a low price. If you just want a cheap vest, get it, but if you want a good vest, look elsewhere(Patagonia Nano Puff)
