Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This speaker is a nice sounding, light weight, long lasting portable Bluetooth box. I have brought it a variety of places now and it does the job well. It isn't the loudest speaker by any means but it is by no means quieter than one would expect from a speaker of this size.

I chose this speaker over the slightly larger version because it could be charged via micro USB and while the battery life is really good as is, I like being able to easily charge speakers like these in my car or off of a portable battery pack. Also the water resistance is a nice touch.

The speaker also has a port to charge other electronic off of, I have never used it but It's certainly a nice feature to have.

My only gripe about this speaker, and this is a really picky thing, is that it came with what I would consider an excessive amount of hard plastic packaging, it is not anything major I just don't think it is all necessary.

-Had to edit this review, I had this speaker for a little while and then in broke, I did a warranty replacement on it, and not long after getting the warranty replacement the second one broke too. It sounds good and all but also after using it for a while the range on the bluetooth is somewhat of a disappointment compared to other speakers on the market.

I use this sling to organize a variety of carabiners, Quicklinks and other hardware for slacklining. The hardware gets kinda heavy and can chew up other webbing so this works really nicely. I could just tie a length of accessory cord and that would likely satisfy my needs just as well but I prefer how clean the sewn loop is.

These mocs are so comfortable! I love having the rubber sole on the bottom for when i need to go outside and venture for a little bit but don't feel like throwing actual shoes on. I actually bought these for my Dad for a Christmas present and ended up getting jealous of them and got them for myself. If you do start to have problems with your feet sweating in them, just throw on a thin pair of socks and that problem will go away.

I wear a size 10 street shoe and bought a size 10 and they are snug but I like the fit and don't have problems getting them on or off.

Been using these Quicklinks on my longline slack line rig for a while now and really like them where they are appropriate. They are heavier than typical Quicklinks but are much cheaper than steel carabiners which are the best alternative. It is useful to note that any quick link like these are only rated to their MBS when their gate is closed shut so always double check the gate for safety when using these in load bearing set ups.

I have been using this plate primarily for longline slackfline rigging and am really impressed with the quality and strength from a plate so light. This plate is plenty strong for my uses and keeps my pulley system nice an neat.

Great frame binding
4 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times

This was my first touring binding and as far as frame'd AT bindings go, I think it is the best on the market.

This binding has one of the lowest stack heights around which was important to me because I like the feel of being close to my skis and the snow. Also makes tricks a lot more engaging.

As for the weight, it's a common concern, I don't notice it too much but I am sure I would if I was coming from a tech set up. It doesn't really bother me too much though.

Being able to release the heel without stepping out of the skis is super convenient.

I only wish that Solomon would have included an intermediate riser option. The riser in up position is great for steep skin tracks and the rider in the down position is still good for slight up hill skinning, the only problem comes when you are on terrain that isn't quite steep but also not mellow, doesn't bother me too much but is still present.

My roommate has the marker duke bindings which I have gotten the chance to use and I would take these over the dukes without a question.

I have used this pack a few times and while I can't speak for the durability, I can say that I have no complaints on this pack.

The padded goggle compartment, pull out helmet carry, and hip compartments are some of my favorite features. Great for storing a strap or snack bar.

I have been able to store a bladder, skins, extra layers, extra food, and dslr camera, along with avalanche gear comfortably in this pack and I am sure I could fit a few more things as well.

If you are looking for the best bag before going with an airbag pack, this is a great choice.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Fortunately I have never had to use this set up to actually dig out a friend but I have practiced using the beacon and probe at a beacon park at my local resort and have felt fairly comfortable with locating a buried person if I had to. Although I do admit I could use some more practice learning the in's and outs of the marking feature for multiple buries.

As for the shovel, I have only used it to dig out snowmachines in the backcountry. It's a solid shovel, no real complaints about it, there are definitely some that are a little better but this one worked just fine.

These are well trusted by many in the backcountry community because they are fantastic. I was blown away by how well these stick on the uphill. Rarely ever do I have problems with these slipping. These don't pack down super small which isn't really a problem for me since I have a large enough backpack for storage but for those who are looking at the minimalist set up I would go with the other lighter BD skins.

Some people complain about trimming difficulties. I didn't really have a problem trimming these with the provided tool but I did have the assistance of a ski vice.

Overall these are a fantastic skin for those getting into backcountry or anyone who just has a new set up and want's a set of skins to match their skis.

They are definitely worth it!

When I was building my backcountry set up, poles were the last thing that I was considering buying since I bend and break so many anyway, well I do not regret buying these one bit!

Adjustable poles are so helpful to help your efficiency on the uphill, the wide thumb catch is super useful for scraping extra heavy snow off of your skis along with an additional level of safety in that one can comfortably ski these poles without straps which allows for greater maneuverability in an avalanche situation. The hooks on the grip also work extremely well for flipping up risers on the ascent which is easily overlooked but super helpful!

I have crashed with these poles a few times riding in bounds and haven't bent or snapped them yet which I am also very impressed with.

Coming from a pair of stiff 186cm 104mm underfoot full camber skis these were a well welcome upgrade. I am an east coast born and raised skier riding the mountains in the Wasatch front. I am 6' 170lbs and ended up going with the 182's, mostly because my ski bag wouldn't fit anything above a 186 and I didn't want to buy another, but I am happy with the length.

These skis are awesome. I set mine up with Solomon guardian 13 bindings and have been pleasantly surprised on the touring capabilities as well. They aren't super light, but also aren't painfully heavy either. They will not have the extreme float of the bent chetlers but will still ride extremely well in the powder along with feel really comfortable setting down arc to arc turns on groomers.

I mostly ski technical steep lines along with do my fair share of finding hits and riding switch. The butter tips (lack of metal edge on the first 10 cm or so) is a welcome benefit and noticeably less catchy than my old skis.

These skis are super playful, if you are the type of skier to go fast though the bumpy soft stuff then you will love these, tail scrubs are a welcome way of slowing down and boosting off of whatever bumps you can find is just a blast.

Haven't felt limited by these skis at all and just looking forward to keep pushing the boundaries of what these skis can accomplish.

If you are a resort slayer and want a binding that is just going to be solid no matter what you throw at it then this is the binding for you. I've skied this binding or versions of this binding for years now because of how solid if feels and the reliable release mechanism. Yeah sometimes you need to fix the heal piece a bit after a fall but it's really no big deal at all and the additional release angles make it all worth it.

While this book is in no way a substitute for learning to highline from an experienced rigger, it is good for adding to your education to be able to analyze any slackline you may decide to walk. If you are new to the sport I would encourage visiting local parks and talking to anyone who has a line rigged, in most cases they will be happy to explain what they are doing and give advice for how to progress in the sport.

I am really good at loosing my earbuds so I don't tend to spend a lot of money on them, that being said I am rather happy with the quality of these for the price. I find that I usually loose these headphones before they break where as I have broken many pairs of skull candy ink' which are about the same price. The remote is nice and mic works well for phone conversations. The sound quality is good, nothin amazing but not disappointing either.

If you aren't looking to drop 200 dollars on a pair of Hestras but still want a glove that is going to be solid then this is the one for you. The gloves include frost scraped and a wipe to clear off anything else that might get on your goggles. I got these for my brother since his gloves were trashed and he loves them. Would recommend to anyone looking to save a bit of money but still wanting a good glove.

Just an awesome, high performance pant that also look fantastic.

A coworker recommended me these pants and I have loved them. I do a lot of slacklining, hiking, and climbing and these are my go to pair to wear. They don't really get dirty, they don't really smell ever. They fit very well and are nice and lightweight. These were my first pair of performance pants and I am sold by just how much better performance I am getting from these over traditional jeans.
