I love my new Arctic Down Parka! I was looking for a new warm, feather-filled coat to battle the cold Chicago winter and this coat has proven itself to be a winter warrior. Since the weather is unpredictable, I wanted something that was not only warm but also waterproof because there is nothing worse than walking around smelling like a wet dog when it sleets and pours freezing rain. I love the inside media pocket and conceal my wallet and phone there from anyone that may want to take it (it has happened before). I like that the faux fur is removable from the hood, because fur doesn't seem practical in April snowstorms. The only thing I dislike about the coat is that the bottom button click-clacks when I walk. I solve the problem by buttoning it up or cranking music loud into my earbuds. I got a size Medium, even though the small fit and I'm so glad I did. The extra breathing room during long, packed commutes is a relief and the length is great- I'm 5'4" and the coat goes down to my knees. I definitely recommend this coat to anyone looking for a new winter parka.

The Nomads have a killer look to them but they were too large on my face. Everything about them from the clean, sharp style to the Photochromic lens that adjusts to the outdoor conditions makes these the ideal goggles but for me, they were too big.

I bought these for a friend but ended up returning them. The mittens were a bit narrow and snug compared to other size small mitts. The grippy palm is really nice and makes it very easy to zip up your jacket. The pull tabs are also very convenient to pull on the mittens but at times, seem to get in the way. Overall the gloves are designed very well but they were just too small.

There's something about Sorel and their fine craftsmanship that makes you want to own all of their boots. They are extremely comfortable, fashionable and will last for many many years. These Madson Boots look good and protect you from the rain/mud/snow.

You can never go wrong with Hydro Flask, no matter the size or shape of the container. Insulated, top designs, fun colors and small features that stand out. I love the new silicone base feature on this. It keeps the bottle from being loud plus it's nice to have a little traction.

You definitely have to pay to play these days, but with anything Patagonia, you're paying for quality and a life long commitment from the manufacturer. I've always wanted a bubble/down vest for its functionality (keeps your core warm, but your arms free) but with so many options out there, I was stuck. Did some research and found how awesome Patagonia is (have you read "Let my people surf" !?!?!). Bonus - this vest is reversible, so you can change up the look whenever you want and everything about it screams quality, from the material, the zippers, the buttons and overall construction. You can't go wrong with this vest!

This jacket is so legit. Not only is the waterproof and powder skirt great at keeping pow out of your underlayer, but it's also super stylish. An added bonus is that the Camo colorway is made from upcycled coffee grounds, so my conscious is clear when steezin' around the mountain in this jacket. Love the thoughtful design of this jacket too. From the wire in the hood to make it adjustable, to the waterproof zippers and the adjustable hem. All great features in my book.
