This tent is bomber. I own quite a few tents to choose from - I pick this one if there is a good chance of weather. I generally use this for backpacking into an Alpine Basecamp. This tent has held up in high winds, hail, thunderstorms, etc. I sleep like a baby when the weather outside is frightful. It is also very warm as have been in temps into the 20s with it. I don't mind reaching for the fly...gives a good stretch and makes the vestibules HUGE. The zippers are sturdy and have held up very well. I would not use this in warmer, humid areas as too warm and condensation would be problem. I would consider it in snow tho! Tent is totally roomy for 2 people and a condo for 1.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

The MSR titanium teakettle is 850ml and sells for $60. The Stoic teakettle is a steal! My MSR fuel canisters fit in it. I take a small pot and this when I backpack solo... if there are two of us, I take 2 small pots and this. It works great as a mug or a 2nd container. The handles are smartly ergonomically designed so you don't drop it and the strainer lide is awesome. For less than $20 you can't beat it!

When I first got this tent I loved it!!! Lightweight, roomy and holds up in wind and heavy thunderstorms in the mountains. But now that I've had the tent for 5 years, I am disappointed. I'm an average user. I used the tent on summer/fall weekends and long backpacks 1x a year. The tent is falling apart now!!! Zipper doesn't work and holes are appearing in the fabric, especially where the tent fabric attaches to the bathtub floor. I have taken care of the tent - cleaned it out and never put it away wet. Washed it with a hose 3x. Durability on this tent stinks. With a price this high, a tent should last longer! Finally... I called Black Diamond asking if I could send it in for zipper repair and pay for it myself. NOPE Black Diamond doesn't repair it. Don't buy this tent if you want it to last 10 years.

This shirt fits great! I have a fairly long torso and it is so ice to have a shirt long enough to not expose the small of my back to the cold and finally a shirt that fits me thru the shoulders! Most major name brands would sell this shirt for over $60! I wear this shirt backpacking, skiing and running. Absolutely my favorite base layer in cold temps or long sleeve solo in warmer temps. I'm buying another one!
