This hoodie is THE BEST HOODIE OF ALL TIME. I'm not kidding.
I bought it to wear as we traveled through Chicago, Virginia, New York and Seattle this fall. I wasn't going to be outside enough to want a full jacket and I needed something that wouldn't be too bulky.
It's perfect. I get compliment after compliment on it. It's warm without being smothering for cool weather, and when it gets colder, I would just need a light shell over it. The oversized cowl hood is brilliant - big enough to be comfortable but not so huge that it becomes a wind tunnel.
Other fantastic upsides: THUMBHOLES. TUNIC LENGTH.
It's everything I've always wanted in a hoodie, seriously.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've never used a small pad like this before - always just brought extra blankets for under my sleeping bag or used an air mattress. This is the perfect blend of the two.
Literally effortless to inflate - open the valve, wait a couple minutes for it to self-inflate, blow a breath or two to finish it off, done. Just as easy to deflate - open the valve, start rolling it up. I found it's easiest to roll it up while letting out the air, then close the valve, and then re-roll it tighter so that I can easily put the elastic bands around it and fit it into the carrying bag.
It was just enough padding to make my car camping night nearly as soft as sleeping at home, despite lumps and bumps from the latches and mats and junk in the car. I imagine it would be just as helpful to soften up a rocky spot of ground in the tent. So glad I bought this!

This is the first beanie I've had that was 99% perfect. I bought one and then promptly bought two more. They're super lightweight, which is nice for bad hair days when it's warm out, the weave is tight enough to keep my head dry when it rains, and the slouch is enough to stop the beanie standing up tall and looking idiotic. My only caveat is when they're machine washed and dried, they get a little fuzzy. They don't pill, they don't unravel, they just fuzz up a little bit. I might wash them in a lingerie bag next time.
I've tried so many other beanies that were too thick, not slouchy enough, too slouchy, uncomfortable, not stretchy enough. I barely know that I'm wearing a beanie, these are so light and comfortable. LOVE.

These waders are truly wonderful. I'm 5 foot even, athletic build, about 130 lbs, size 7 feet. These waders fit! Hallelujah!
The belt hits right at my waist, the suspenders are adjustable all the way down to where I need them, and the stocking feet are PERFECT - not enormous like most "one size fits all" neoprene feet.
Hands down best feature of these waders are the suspenders - they have a long strap that runs down into the waders, so when you unbuckle the suspenders, the waders don't fall off of you. They stay attached by those long straps, but they're more than loose enough to get in and out for easy stream-side pee breaks or clothing changes.
I'm amazed at the great fit. Roomy enough for clambering over boulders for backcountry fishing, but not so enormous that they balloon out around my butt when I'm standing in the river.
I know they say "waders are NOT brush pants" but I end up using them double duty a lot of the time on brushy streams, and they hold up admirably to sharp sticks and jagged rocks. Other "women's" waders that I tried were paper-thin and tore after only one use.
I've used these on very cold days and steamy hot ones. They're the perfect balance - I add extra layers under them on cold days and on hot ones, they breathe enough to keep me from melting.
Highly recommended!!

"Designed for Small Stream Fishing"?
3 5

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This net is beautiful - quality wood, perfectly sized hoop for small streams, and the ghost net does indeed disappear in the water. It's gorgeous.
That said... It might be designed for small stream fishing somewhere, but not where I'm at. Backcountry streams here rarely hold fish over 10 inches, and those fish just slip right through the stretchy, round holes in the net bag. Multiple times I found myself with a fish still on the hook, line threaded through the net and back out. Even when I was able to keep them in the net long enough to unhook, they'd immediately wiggle out through the net. The round holes stretch to a good 2 inches wide, and to a wild small stream trout, that's plenty big enough. I'm hoping that I'll be able to take it up to the larger Eastern Sierra streams and rivers later this year and get better use out of it.
I looked into getting a replacement net bag of the style that has smaller, rectangular holes, but they don't make that bag for this net.
Five stars for looks and usability in general - but one star for the way it works on nearly all the small streams I fish. So let's say three.
