One of my favorite purchases of the past 5 years. I was never a pole guy and I now take these things everywhere. Throw them in my carry on for a local day summit. Pack them climbing for stability while scrambling. Perfect match for my carbon touring skis. Prefer this mechanism to the older telescoping model as there feels to be much more durability. 10/10 would recommend.

While it may not be the best for large, high alpine expeditions or international travel, simply can’t beat this for easy weekend backpacking or compact optionality. While a jet boil is great, sometimes you just need the flexibility of switching between, pot, pan, etc. Love this for fishing trips in tandem with small pan to cook my fish. I’ve had mine for 6 yrs and no issues to date.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Now this may not be an all in one stove, but for those who have access to canister stoves and aren't consistently in below freezing conditions, this stove is tough to beat for backpacking. While not as field serviceable as the whisperlite, this little thing takes less than 2 seconds to set up and is boiling water under 5 mins. May not be your only stove, but definitely a great 3 season stove.

In my opinion, the six cup is the way to go. Makes about three full size mugs of coffee and is small enough to heat over a smaller stove like an MSR pocket rocket without compromising the stability of the stove. I use it everyday in my house as well...equally capable and worthy in the kitchen. Can't beat it for the price and durability.
