Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: Runs large
Size Purchased: L/XL

The hat is high quality, great weight, seems to keep its shape much better than some other similar hats. I appreciate that it isn't "one size fits all," as I feel that they are usually a little too small for my head and they leave marks on my forehead. I ordered the L/XL because of this and it is too big for me. I would love it if it had a chin strap or cord to secure it. This hat blows off my head with a moderate breeze. I live on an island where there are no personal vehicles (Kwajalein), so we bicycle everywhere. I can't wear this hat because it blows off my head on the bike even if it isn't windy. I am trying to figure out how I can attach something myself, but it is such a nice hat, I don't want to ruin it with my sub-standard sewing skills. I'd rather have a hat with a cord and not need it, than my current issue... I can't use it because it just isn't practical.

I purchased a similar pullover in the same material a few years back and found this zip up one and had to get one. It is a great wind-stopper, and the honey-comb inside material keeps the jacket from sticking to you if you sweat a lot. It is not as breathable as some other jackets, but it stops a chilly wind much better. Very comfortable and it is longer (on me, 5'4") if you like that type of jacket.

I have the same jacket in red from a couple years ago, and I loved it. A great light weight jacket, fits true to size, tough yet failry soft material, vents are great to control body temperature, good water and wind resistance. One very minor thing I didn't like about the one I just bought (in white) was that the Mammut logos are printed on, whereas they were embroidered on my red jacket. Also, the white is more of a winter white, a little bit of grey in there that I wasn't expecting. But overall, I love Mammut jackets and recommend this one.
