Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Got them for ice climbing and mountaineering. Simply do what they’re supposed to do. Tough leather outside for rope handling, warm enough inside. Sit nicely over the jacket and easy to tighten/loosen with the other glove on.
Hang nicely from the finger loop for drying. Did well ice climbing in California and as well at -20 Fahrenheit and 40mph winds at 17500 feet in South America. Could have been a bit more dexterous for knot tying, but still a solid 5 star. Fit is true to size.

Love these. Climbed ice, snow and rock with them. Dragged them on rough rock, suffered through 8 hrs of non stop snow on them and they still look like I got them yesterday. Super durable and high quality. Water resistance properties are excellent.
Only tiny complaint is there’s only one side pocket. Would have been nice to have one on the other side as well. Def recommended

Gets the job done. Had them on during a crazy 12-hour blizzard on Mt. Baker in January. Everything underneath was completely dry. BUT — no way to get those on with boots on (unless you have really narrow ones - maybe). The side zippers unfortunately don’t go high enough. So as ‘emergency shells’ (which is typically the way I use shells) when Ron or snow get too much — these won’t do it. You have to put them on in advance (which would also make taking them off if it was too much a hassle too).
Also, no pockets, which is never fun.

Definitely high quality material. Breathable, durable and super light. I always carry this one with me — for climbs in warmer climates, it’s always nice to have for early mornings/evenings. But for winter conditions, it’s my ‘extra jacket’, not the go to jacket for anything, really. It isn’t the one to keep you dry in rain or snow — not even for a bit (don’t think it has much resistant/repellent properties), so you need a real shell over it in those conditions. It’s super breathable — which also means you def feel the wind through it too...
bottom line, good for warmer conditions or as one of the parts of the layering system.

Bought this one for 10-20 degree semi-technical multi-day mountaineering. Had a basic sunnhoodie underneath and a wind stopper over it and felt good (while active).
Definitely runs small. Get one size up your usual size for sure.
FWIW, couldn’t sleep with it on. Was a bit too warm for my sack (10 degrees), but main reason was the size. Felt way too tight. Got uncomfortable at night moving around in the sleeping bag — only reason for 4/5.
