Familiarity: I've used it several times

Considered that it is a single pitch belay device, it hasn’t the same multiple use that a tubular device has. It makes this job excellently as giving rope is quite eased, whereas the blocking system is semi-assisted, what gives more safety to belaying. I myself prefer this than the gri gri.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is my preferite shoe for bouldering because it fits perfectly my foot and its technical characteristics make each movement very natural and instinctive (the name "Instinct" is indeed appropriate). It is very sensitive because of the grip x2 that lasts like the edge4 if you correctly exploit its sensitivity. It is ideal for elegant and intuitive climbing, better for bordering, even very hard boulders, than for single pitch climbing.
