Initial thoughts are great

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I have the 700x42 light and supple, running tubeless, orange sealant, specialized Hayfield wheels.

Just installed today and was very happy with how well they mounted. Completely dry with no sealant inside they took a quick shot from a compressor with the valve core removed. They held air just like that for a few hours. When I pulled the valve cores to add sealant they came off the bead slightly, but I was able to get them re-seated and inflated with a floor pump easily. The initial ride around the block a few times felt good, 40 psi and they rolled decent, pulled some sharp turns in gravel and dirt and they still felt solid. Going to put some miles on them and run the crusher race then will update my review.

I have done a few little hikes on these so far including some loose rocky trails, and sandy slot canyons. The first thing I noticed was the insole presses against my heel funny and caused a hot spot after 5-6 miles. I swapped out for some superfeet carbon insoles and have done a few more hikes and that seems to be better for me. So far they breath well and stay dry which is what my sweaty feet needed. Spending a week in Bryce with the new insoles so I will update my review after that. I listened to everyone and went a half size bigger and they fit great.

Good for trails

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Been using these for going on 3 seasons and have really enjoyed them. Plenty of traction, OK floatation, and fast bindings. If you are going to be going into deep, fresh powder then you will probably need the flotation tails to stay on top. The bindings though are fantastic! I am always the first to have my shoes on and off during group hikes, even with gloves. The only downside so far, is they can be noisy. The pivot area will start to squeak sometimes while hiking. I have tried some oil on it every so often and that seems to help.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 170 lbs
Size Purchased: medium

Used this jacket for a few months now and it has lived up to my highest expectations. So far its completely waterproof all over even though they only say its waterproof on the shoulders hood and very bottom. Also more importantly, it breathes very well. This has always been a pitfall of my shells is the lack of breathability. I have used this jacket for snowshoeing up long steep sweaty climbs, standing in the rain not really moving for 4-5 hours, my daily walks during random rain storms, and it has performed perfectly.

The fit is very nice. The sleeves are slightly long but not an issue at all. its fitted but not so much you couldn't wear a decent midlayer under it. the back is longer so it doesn't ride up during activities, and the hood tightens down to fit your head or opens up to accommodate a helmet.

As time goes on I will update, but for now, nothing bad to say about this jacket.

*1 Year update*
Not much new, still looks brand new and keeps me dry! Absolutely love this jacket. Its held up through backpacking, snowshoeing, wandering, dancing, all that fun stuff. Just buy it already!

These are the most comfortable shorts I have EVER worn. I almost own two of the roam shirts (same material) and they make a great hiking combo. These are my go to hiking, swimming, lounging, workout, anything scenario shorts. They breath, they stretch, they are super lightweight. As in they feel like you aren't even wearing shorts. Used them on a jaunt through the narrows and they had dried off before I could even make it half way back to the shuttle pickup. If you have a chance to buy these, do it. DO IT NOW!!!

Lightweight, dry, great fit, and quality

Fast version: 5'11", 165 lbs, medium fits perfect for a fleece jacket if not something thicker under. Pockets perfect for wearing a pack, hood is spacious but can be adjusted, goretex holds up great.
Longer version: After a month of comparisons looking at different hard shells out there I pulled the trigger on this shell and not a moment too soon. Right out of the bag (which was shipped insanely fast) it was packed up and taken down to Moab. I spent the day hiking through arches in a mixture of snow, rain, wind, and something in between all those. This jacket help up admirably. The DWR coating on a new jacket worked as expected and shed water so quickly it soaked my pants. On the little longer hike to delicate arch with a backpack on, I expected some water to make it through the shoulders however at the end of the hike, I was bone dry under the jacket. The pockets are perfect height for access while wearing a pack. The hood is VERY big, but has drawcords to cinch it down to fit a helmet-less head. I look forward to seeing how it holds up and after I can put it through the wringer I will report back.
