Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I used it for a year before it fell apart. I really enjoyed this pack a lot but for the price I would expect it to survive longer than that. I like the pockets everywhere, very accessible, the stretch used to make them that allows you to fit anything and everything, the bottles go back in their position very easily, very lightweight, easy back pocket access. Overall very good and it served me very well during numerous training runs and races (ultras).
However, the elastic to hold the bottles died soon, few times, as much as I had to go with rubber bands instead. Not really nice looking. The two "straps" on the chest that maintain the vest closed, same elastic material, same fate except that it way more annoying. Same outcome, made extras knots to maintain it alive. Back pocket (closest to my back) started to have a hole and now I would lose the whole bottle through it.
I used it extensively for a year but that was too much at the time for the high price you pay for it. Now I am running with another brand. I probably ran a solid 1,000 miles with it total, half of my runs of the year. Too expensive for the (lack of) quality.

I switched from Salomon's vest to this one hoping to get a winner. I used it for several months and few races but I had to stop.
* Bottles are not easy to fit back in the vest, kind of clunky
* Huge pack in the back but way to big for races (50k/50M).
* Was chaffing on longer runs (above 20 miles) on the side of the neck and that was too much for it. It was shifting focus from running to trying to find a position where it was not hurting more, especially during long races.
Went to that one because I wanted more pockets on the waist and front without needing that much on the back. I wish they had that many pockets on a smaller volume vest. I also bought it after loving the fastpack15. What a great pack to commute and carry clothes, laptop and food.

This headlamp is a monster. I used it last winter on road and that helped a lot being seen and finding the little tricky holes in the pavement. But it really shined on trails. Uphill, I really liked the adaptive light. You grind and look at your feet and you see everything around, you start looking further and now you get the beam in addition to see what next is coming.
The battery is also really good for the amount of energy you get out of it. I did not have to charge it very often.
I look forward to bringing that guy with me on a 100 miler in November.
Amazing job from Petzl team.
There is an app also but I am not so sure about that one. Gives data about the headlamp and you can manage some other settings but I did not really need to look into that too much. It is good as it is, right out of the box.

Fit: Runs small
Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 160 lbs
Size Purchased: 11

I love those shoes. I went through so far 4 pairs going to the 5th between the 290 and 305. The 305 are a bit more comfortable (training) whereas 290 are usually reserved for races but both work fine in race condition. Used them on up to 100km run races without switching shoes. Solid all the way.
I end up with size 11 whereas I wear size 10 for other shoes.
I use them on trails, steep hills, mud (perfect grip) and even on snow last Winter in Tahoe (grip was amazing on hard pack snow).
Only slight complain is that after 300 miles I usually need to change them as the sole gets harder and harder. There is not too much cushioning in the first place but a solid rockplate at the bottom.

Switched to those after too many blisters on long training runs (trails). I think I only got one blister since and it was on a 100km race (Castle Peak) that was brutal. I use them now for road training too.
Super comfortable, did not destroy one yet (over 18 months I am using them - probably ran 3,000 miles on 4 pairs rotation). Really no complains whatsoever.

I am using exclusively Tailwind for more than 18 months now. It is easy to mix, it does not leave anything sticky in the bottles, it tastes good (light taste), it is super easy on the guts. I use it for training and for races 50km,50M,100km.
Great product I would highly recommend to anyone.
Go with Naked for races (End of them) and green tea for caffeine and lemon for regular. Did not try others.
