Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This Filter works fine for up to two people. I don't think it is hard to pump. However, I do always pump while bracing the base against a rock. When it does start to slow down, I clean the filter.

It is light and durable.

Do not try to use this if you are pumping for more than two people. it is just to small/slow.

Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size

If it's less than 25F this is our go to snow suit for the walk to daycare. We also put the little guy in this when we take him Cross country skiing . The shell fabric is slippery and makes it a little harder to carry the boy.

Still, I did manage to catch him in the photo below.

Now that we are partway through the winter season, I need to update my review of these gloves. I have ice climbed in with these 5 times and done 4 backcountry tours and the stiching along the fingers(more than one) is starting pull.

I love the fit, breath-ability, warmth and dexterity. But the durability is definitely not bomber.

Just read the reviews below to find out how durable/comfortable/ multi-functional these boots are. Scarpa really nailed the design on these. I'm on my second pair of edge guards, and will install a third to start next season.

I still carry a fast-to-deploy probe in my pack when I'm in the back country.

I have used them as a probe, but not in an avalanche situation. I bought these to use on a mountaineering trips where I would need to probe our camp sites. It's a pretty specific circumstance, but the poles did their job.

In the last 7 years I have used them as a probe three times, and for skiing and hiking too manny too count. It looks like I'll be using them for 7 more years.

I ran into an old friend backcountry skiing the other day. When I caught up to him at the top of the skin he said, "I thought I recognized that hat!"

I'm starting my 5th season with this hat and it still looks great. I've machine washed it several time and it has not shrunk.
