Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 7"
Size Purchased: Large

I have other base layers (stoic, REI, icebreaker) and I love that this is a few inches longer. It means that it stays tucked in. Or, on a warmer day, I can shed layers and this looks like an actual shirt and not an awkwardly short piece of long underwear.
Ordered a large to accommodate bra size and long arms. Fits well.

I shopped around a bunch and it came down to this and the Marmot Precip. I ended up getting this one because it had a better hood (easier to adjust; fits over a helmet), it was roomier in the chest area (good for chestier ladies; this was also a concern because during a downpour I want to be able to quickly stash my camera under my jacket and zip it), and I felt I could move my arms better during activities like climbing and canyoneering. I did size up but it doesn't look too baggy or boxy. Also, it seemed to be made of a thicker/more rugged material. I've already worn it on two hiking/canyoneering/camping trips where it rained a LOT and it's holding up well. Plus, bonus points for puns!

I tried on a million vests and ended up keeping this one. I had a really hard time finding one that was long enough and wouldn't ride up during active pursuits. I also wanted to be able to move my arms despite a larger cup size. The only two I found were the Kuhl Spyfire and this one. I went with this one because it didn't have a hood, so I could wear it under a shell. I also like that it's made from PrimaLoft Downblend because here in Texas it's often cold and rainy and this dries faster/is a little warmer when wet. The amount of insulation is great -- I'm usually cold and this keeps me warm while hiking and other activities. Bonus: this actually looks stylish and doesn't make me look like a marshmallow.

Cute for wearing around town but too short for more active pursuits. I have an average length torso but am a D cup. This hit right at/slightly above the waistband of my jeans. If i raised my arms, it'd ride up above my navel. The fit was good everywhere else, though.
For reference, this has a center-back length of 24" in a size 8 (I called and they helpfully measured for me -- see below -- only they were off by an inch!).
Love the inky blue color. The diagonal stitching of the baffles is also very flattering. Wish I could've kept it.

I've used this extensively and it's an outstanding pack. I looked at loads of backpacks and bought this one because of the 3D Air Mesh, size, and the # and placement of pockets (stash pocket in front, main compartment with sleeve for water bladder, top pocket for keys/wallet, mesh water bottle pockets at sides, and small mesh pockets on hip straps). The 3D Air Mesh -- there's a "trampoline" of mesh that raises the pack off your back to let air circulate -- makes a HUGE difference compared to my old pack. Hiking in Texas summers, my buddies will have sweated out and my back will be dry. Excellent size, but on the bigger side if all you're doing is short hikes. It will fit a 3L water bladder, DSLR, jacket, and lunch with room to spare, plus a rain jacket in the outer stash pocket. I've loaded it down and the straps and shape still do a good job of distributing weight for a comfortable fit. I only wish the side mesh pockets could cinch to better hold a water bottle (regular sized nalgenes tend to tip out, so I use a smaller, 16 oz one instead). And I wish that the material at the slit for the water bladder hose was reinforced/thicker so that it didn't pull the bite valve off when I threaded it through (just be careful). But minor quibbles. All-in-all it's a well-designed back with lots of thoughtful details.
