Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: Runs large

I did TONS of research on trying to find the most versatile high quality shell I could find and settled on the TNF Moutain Light. It is super light weight and will protect you from the harshest rains or wettest snows.

I became a huge fan of TNF Themoball jackets and on the coldest wettest days I will wear that with the Mountain Light as a shell and feel totally protected from the harshest elements. For days when I care more about wind protection and less about warmth I recommend "zipping in" TNF Pumori fleece.

I have two small complaints, the first being that I think the product is a bit over priced and the second is that the jacket runs large. As someone who is 6'3", 210 lbs, the guidelines suggest XL, but upon trying it on it felt like I purchased a tent rather than a jacket. A L worked much better but it is a bit small for my frame.

Fit: True to size

This is by far the best light weight fleece I have ever owned. I haven't had the experience of the older fleeces other reviews speak about to compare, but mine is super comfortable, really warm, yet really thin and light. On cooler days this is all I need with either a cotton t-shirt or a polyester base layer under neath depending on the activity. As someone who is 6'3", 210 lbs., I am often somewhere in between L/XL tops from the North Face. For this item, L fit me perfectly.

These gloves are fine for cold/windy weather walks or easy hiking. They fit well, look great, and are really comfortable. My only complaint is that they soak up moisture like a sponge. This was known going into the purchase so I don't really mind, but be aware these are not water proof or resistant for that matter.
