Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Fit: True to size

We gave this as a gift for my 2-year-old niece who lives in New York City. We've heard only good things about the quality of and insulation provided by this sock. It has stood up to hard toddler wear and apartment complex washer/dryer combos really well. We gave this in extra small, light gray.

Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: Runs large

We purchased three pairs of these socks for our toddler to wear over the winter. He picked out the Alpine Green and Poppy Nectarine colors and is happy with how they look, as far as I can tell.

Since they are a little thicker and longer than most of his socks, they worked perfectly with his waterproof Bogs boots. At the time, he wore size 9-9.5 toddler shoes; we bought him these socks in size small, and they were big enough to slip off his feet when he wasn't wearing boots.

We have noticed that his regular shoes are too tight when wearing these socks due to their thickness. We are hoping they still fit him next year so that we can get more use out of them.

My wife has these in the Natural Heather and Black colors, and she wears them weekly through the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons. She says they are a nice thickness for wearing with looser work shoes or hiking shoes. The patterns are pretty! Her only complaint is that the tops of the socks are a little tight for her calves, but she just folds the tops down and then they are very comfortable.

My three-year-old son loves these boots and wants to wear them all the time. He pulls them on and off easily by himself using the handles (no guarantee that he'll get the correct feet, though). They've been perfect for keeping his feet warm in the Salt Lake City winter snow and dry whenever he finds a puddle to splash. We have no complaints. He likes the train pattern, too.

I gave these as a gift for a two-year-old and have heard that they were warm enough for the New York City winter and the perfect length and thickness to fill out her toddler boots. I'm deducting one star because the actual color was a not-so-pretty yellow, which I didn't expect from the photo. No complaints about their functionality, though!

I've slept in many, many tents in my life. This is the tent I want to be buried in.

We got one several years ago, getting ready for a cross-country journey through our National Parks, and to "practice" we went with some friends to Acadia in Maine for our first stop. It poured the whole weekend. Buckets and buckets. They were cold and wet in the morning, we were comfy and dry. It was then we knew we had a special tent. Just an amazing tent.

Easy to set up, sets up almost anywhere, gear loft is super handy and I'm shocked its not standard in tents after this, the rain fly is spectacular, and I think I've run out of superlatives for this tent. It's that good.

Gave these to my niece in NYC for the cold winters there, and she was very glad to have them last winter! Kept her nice and warm throughout, and fit her until about 15-16 months (although I think she's a bit big). They loved them, so many the next size up for this year is in order.

I love giving Smartwool as a gift because either they know the socks, in which case they love them and want more, or they don't and are about to be introduced to the best socks in the world. These were for my sister-in-law, and she loves them. Just loves them.

Gift for my hippie father who loves the outdoors (in as many ways as you want to interpret that) to replace his old leather bag. He loved the compactness with some organization and has said it's been a lot nicer for carrying around and getting the job done quickly and discreetly.

Nice quality onesie for showing off his love of the Goat! I've been trying to get him to count the number of goats (both correct and incorrect), but that still seems a bit aways. Anyway, this was a great addition to the onesie collection!

Got these for my two year old. He didn't take to mittens very well, and kept pulling them off. Eventually he realized they were keeping his hands warm, but they still needed to be re-applied every 5 minutes because two year old.

The part covering the wrists is too long/big so it doesn't fit either over or under the sleeves of a winter coat. I think this contributed to him pulling them off constantly. But I'm not sure how they're suppose to fit with a large winter coat.

We give out smartwools socks as the perfect "stocking stuffer" gifts for Christmas. And everyone loves to get these socks. these are comfortable, keep your feet warm, without causing a lot of sweating and heat rash. And the extra padding means you can wear them for a long hike or for a day at the office.

When it's cold outside, and all your little one wants is a blanket and cup of hot chocolate, these are a miracle. He loves to wear them around the house in the winter, and the rubberized soles keep him from slipping on our hardwood floors. He's been growing like a weed this year, so I suspect this winter we'll have to go up another size!
