Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have a few coal beanies already so I knew exactly what I was getting into which is why I purchased two of these slouchy beanies (the teal and black)! They are awesome for hikes and covering up messy hair when you don't want to brush it. They don't fall off of my head which is a big plus for having a tiny head.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I'm doing a cross country (basically a continent?) trek to Alaska from Virginia. I needed something huge to fit all of my stuff (I purchased the XXL). This is far bigger than I expected and I am super excited about it! Very lightweight and I like that the clamps just go onto my roof rack with a simple turn of the knob. To be honest, not that I don't trust it, but I have decided to use some tie down straps for extra security. Doesn't make any sound while I am driving and it doesn't seem to influence my driving at all!

I have had my progression of shoes as I have improved with climbing, first ones I could run a marathon in and they were super comfortable but didn't have a good toe to edge with. Next, I got some Red Chili shoes and I love them! But I wanted, again, a more aggressive shoe once I progressed which is why I landed at the miura. I got a size 8 without even trying them on at a store (I usually wear size 8.5/9.0 in womens normal shoes) but the size 8 was just to get it a little tighter. They fit perfectly! I can not walk a small distance with them, but that was exactly what I wanted. So great at edging and keeping my shoe on when I heel hook (had the problem of my shoe popping off when I first started climbing with overly comfortable shoes). To say I'm in love with them is an understatment.

I just got my bag yesterday and I screamed with delight. It's a good size and I got it in the all gray color so it is appealing to my eye as well. The only thing that I am intrigued with how well it is going to work is the zipper for taking out the rope is in the back rather than the front. I'm not sure how common this is but it seems like the backpack straps will get in the way. Other than that, it's going to be wonderful to help keep me organized and it is SO comfortable. Patagonia always makes legit stuff, in my opinion, so I trust it'll be a reliable and sturdy bag.

Okay, so it's winter & I have had so many issues trying to do yoga because it is so cold in my room that I needed some socks! I have tried normal socks and obviously it slipped off of my mat, constantly. These socks are dope and have helped me keep grip on my mat and allows me to do my yoga.

I never used to wear vests (being from California and all) but now that I'm in the mountains in Virginia, I've realized that vests come in handy. I have two down vests and decided to get this vest to just wear more casually. The even better part for me is its small enough to wear under my jackets (looks dorky, I know) & keep my core super warm.

I have a wide foot, so finding a shoe that is womens and fit my larger foot was crucial. These are so comfortable and very lightweight compared to my older shoes. The gortex has been wonderful, I've already hiked in rain and through puddles and haven't had a single issue. I didn't know I would love these shoes so much but they've been awesome.

Also, there was no phase of wearing them in. I was able to put them on and head right out into the field without any blisters or painful feet.

Every time I take this bad boy out, I get odd looks from people who have no idea what it is and excited looks from fellow climbers. This pad is huge and makes me feel far more confident in my climbing knowing that, if I am to fall, this pad covers a lot of ground. I'm pretty small but I am able to easily carry it to get to my destination. Couldn't ask for a better crash pad.

I bought this harness so that I could begin to top rope/auto belay. I've used it in the gym plenty of times and it is so comfortable and so easy to put on. Since it is already double backed I just through it on real quick and tighten the straps and I am ready to go.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
Fit: Runs small

I bought these shoes and I'm usually an 8.5, but I couldn't even get these on my feet, unfortunately. They felt far too narrow for my wide feet. I returned them but I must admit that they were one of the more adorable hiking boots I have ever seen (sorry that I can't comment on their hiking qualities!).

Like the title says, I use this for climbing. I have tried to use athletic tape before from a section in target and it fell off instantly and didn't stick. Maybe the chalk threw it for a challenge. But whenever I use this tape, it stays on. Relatively easy to tear so you don't need scissors to cut it into pieces that will work. Carry it with me wherever I go climbing.

An Everywhere Kind of Vest

I am a wildlife biologist and I work during the winter months. I tested out this vest in 12 degree weather wearing a thermal & a fleece under. It was perfect for hiking up the mountain because I didn't feel overwhelmed by a large down jacket which would usually result in me sweating. It kept me at just the right temperature.
Besides that, it is adorable! It goes well with basically everything in my closet and I feel great wearing it.
