Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought this jacket as a Christmas gift for my gf and this is what she had to say about it: "I have been using this jacket both resort skiing and backcountry skiing for about a month and I love it! It performs better than any jacket I have had before. I love the under arm zippers because they allow me to stay cool on the uphills, and all zippers seal tightly so that I stay dry when it's really wet out. The wind does not cut through at all, and I am warm and comfortable on even the wettest days, without feeling clammy inside the coat. I love the plum color and the length is good because it keeps the snow out from below. The hood is a good shape, and fits over my helmet. I would recommend this jacket for anyone looking for a versatile ski shell that's able to keep up with changing conditions, activities, and terrain. "

Axles are da bomb! Smoothest power transfer and an active setting for everyone's style. The 6 hole mounting pattern keeps everything locked on and tight. All of that with the free pivot ability to get into the backcountry to get the goods. Best part: 22 designs makes these bindings in the good ole USA (in Driggs ID) It's a great company that makes the very best bindings. Period.

Seems to be holding up fine. I've used this rope through the summer and am loving it even more as the sport season is truly beginning here in Utah. I've taken a bunch of falls on it and, so far, it isn't showing much wear. Solid sheath - sturdy core. No complains.

I was looking for an approach shoe that 1) has climbing rubber on the sole and 2) is waterproof. This shoe has both of those features and, so far, has kept me dry (in dewy feilds) and has kept me on my toes (when scampering across limestone and granite talus fields. They don't have the most comfortable insole but they're comfortable enough. So far, they've delivered in all the ways that matter to me.

I've only used it a handful of times... Installation isn't difficult but feels a little treacherous as you have to use quite a bit of force to bend pointy rods into place. Also, the bed is a little creaky when you shift positions in the night. That said, it's comfy enough. It does the job. It's especially nice when you put a sleeping pad on top for maximal glamping comfort.

I've worn Sperry's since I was 20 (I'm 32 now) and have put my boat shoes through just about every scenario imaginable. They're built to last. What's nice about this particular shoe is the inside liner and stitching around the tongue, which make it a little sturdier and cleaner looking than the A/O 2-Eye Waterloo Shoe in my opinion.

This Jacket is incredibly warm. I'm not sure if it'd keep you alive in the backcountry but, if you're out n about in the city, you'll be toasty on even the coldest winter day. I never need a mid-layer under this thing; just a t-shirt or oxford. Like all Patagonia products, it's got a nice form-fitting cut. I highly recommend it

What I love about Patagonia is that their apparel always seems to be cut well for slim athletic dudes. I purchased a small and it's a nice, form fitting size for me. This thing will keep your core warm and fit nicely under just about any jacket. It also looks great on its own. Finally, the vest is super lightweight. You can cram it in your pack without feeling like you've added anything to your load.

These are a little sturdier than the YAKTRAX Pro Shoe Crampon. I bought these as a Christmas gift for my dad, who intends to wear em in Iceland during the winter. The chain metal on the bottom will hopefully stand up to rougher terrain YAKTRAX Pro Shoe Crampon and, upon our initial inspection, they do seem to be a little more rugged.

So far, I love this shoe. It's a got a classic look, seems to be very well made, and is mega comfortable.

The sizes run a bit large. I had to get an 8 but normally wear a 9 or 9.5. Also, the off-white sole is a little annoying to keep cleanish. It's not a shoe you want to wear in the woods but you will look awesome while you're hiking around town.
