Fits like a glove
5 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 3"
Weight: 130 lbs
Size Purchased: 4

Wow, this is seriously the FIRST time I have ever got pants online and they actually fit. Highly recommend them for anyone who is petite or on the shorter side. Backcountry sent me the Basin and Range Soft Stretch Twill Pant and they are really freakin awesome. They are sort of more like a jegging than jeans. They are super stretchy and really comfortable. I love the color because the pants go with everything. I am 5'3 and 130 pounds and the size 4 fits like a glove!!

This is a super warm and cozy sweater. I was sent the Basin and Range Cable-Knit Bell Sleeve Sweater to try out and absolutely love it!! It's beautifully made and really warm. I love the cable knit design and cute sleeves. It's seriously super warm and perfect for snow days. I am 5'3 and 130 pounds and wearing the size small and it fits perfectly.

Size Purchased: x-small

The Backcountry x Flylow Patsey Marley Bib Pant is the bomb. They cut is beautiful, the attention to details is amazing and the color is perfect. I've always wanted a good pair of bib pants. I am still an intermediate skier and after falling once last year and getting snow alllll down my pants, I immediately wanted to upgrade to a bib pant. I did a ton of research and these Marley Bib pants are definitely the best value for your money. I am sort of in-between sizes but chose the x-small because the length and fit were a bit better than the small.

Wow, I can't believe it took me so long to invest in a good camping pillow. It makes a HUGE difference. I always used to just try to sleep on a jacket and was tossing and turning all night. This little guy is unbelievably comfortable and super lightweight. I am a side sleeper and found it was just perfect! Also, the valve system is top notch (doesn't let out air when you are blowing it up!)

MUST BUY FOR SNOW
5 5

These are my favorite mountaineering glasses!! They are a must have if you are hiking on snow for an extended period of time. They have the extra polarization and the side blinders to cut down on the reflected sun exposure from the snow. Trust me, I didn't have them last year and after 8 hours of hiking in normal sunglasses, my eyes hurt so much. These are really great for people with a smaller face. They are super comfortable too. I've also had a ton of compliments on them :)

Great Climbing Pants
5 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 3"
Weight: 130 lbs
Size Purchased: small

These are pretty freakin rad climbing pants. I was sent the Double Dyno Climbing Pant by Backcountry to gear test and they exceeded my expectations!! They are extremely comfortable and have an amazing stretch. They are lightweight which is perfect for climbing on those hot days. This was my first pair of climbing-specific pants and they are just awesome. The high waist is perfect. I personally don't like to climb in shorts since I always get my legs banged up. Backcountry Double Dyno Climbing Pant is the way to go for climbing and any adventure. Honestly, I also love wearing the Double Dyno pants as my airplane pants or around town too. I am 5'3 and 130 pounds and wearing the size small and it fits perfectly.

Amazing Coat!!!
5 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 3"
Weight: 130 lbs
Size Purchased: medium (wish I got small)

I absolutely love my Basin and Range North Star Down Parka. I was sent this coat by backcountry to gear test and wow is it awesome. Even though its a puffer, it still has a feminine cut that is actually attractive (versus just looking like you are wearing a sleeping bag lol) I order a size medium after reading the reviews to size up. I actually think it does run true to size and a small would have been a bit better. I am 5'3 and 130 pounds for reference. The medium fits me (and has room for a sweater) but I think the small would have also had room for this too. The pockets are just a bit low on me now with the medium. If you reallly like to wear big sweatshirts, I'd size up. If you just want a normal layer underneath I would buy true to size. Also, the pockets are lined with fleece which means your hands stay extra warm. Definitely recommend the Basin and Range North Star Down Parka.

Happy Head
5 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times

Absolutely love the Basin and Range Cable Pom Beanie! I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review Is my personal opinion. This is actually my second Basin & Range beanie and the first one held up beautifully so I am excited to have a second color and style. It's just a great hat, perfect for the winter. I love a good pom-pom and this one is super well made. It's just a knit beanie, it's not fleece-lined but the weaving is tight so it helps keep out the wind. I have a smaller head, so it has more of a slouched look which is pretty cute. Overall, you can't go wrong with the Basin and Range Cable Pom Beanie :)

I absolutely love the Basin and Range Uptown Crew Pullover! Backcountry sent me this product to gear test and I think it's just awesome. I ordered the Sky Blue and the color and fit are extremely flattering. Its technically a sweatshirt but the cut is very feminine and flattering. It's perfect as a layer for hiking or to wear out to lunch or at work. It looks great with shorts and jeans too. I've gotten a ton of compliments already. I’ve washed it a few times (though I don’t put in the dryer) and have found the shape and softness holds up really well. It definitely runs true to size. I really love Basin and Range products and the Uptown Crew Pullover is another awesome addition to my wardrobe.

The Basin and Range Sky Valley Bomber Jacket is the perfect coat for the city or your next adventure. I was sent this product by backcountry to photograph but am so excited to keep it. It has a true bomber coat cut and sits above my hips. Super soft and fun material too. The black is a bit shiny but I am totally into it. It's on the lightweight side but keeps out any wind chill. It packs down super small too so it's easy to stuff into a bag. The pockets have zippers which are a nice touch so you don't lose your car keys. Overall I am super pleased with my Basin and Range Sky Valley Bomber Jacket

The Basin and Range Willow Woven Pant have so much potential, just ORDER A SIZE UP!! Backcountry sent me these pants to photograph and I really wanted to love them. They are super cute and I will definitely wear them around the city. They just have no stretch so I would not recommend them for outdoor activities. I am 5'3 and 130 pounds and the size small is a bit tight for me. I usually wear a 27 or 28 in pants for reference. So if you are my size, I'd order a medium!

Crampons have SPIKES! I love this bag because it is super durable and protect everything in my backpacking bag from getting impaled from my crampons. Has a nifty strap too if you want to clip the bag outside of your backpack.

Perfect, Solid, Reliable!

Highly recommend this tent, especially after it kept me dry during heavy thunderstorms. It's solid and super easy to pitch. I love all the pockets and hooks too. My only wish is that it came with a footprint, but I've never actually found a tent that sells them together. Honestly, you can't beat the price for this level of quality. The zippers and materials are really well constructed and I think the weight is a fair trade-off for the quality. Especially in the long term, this tent is made to last.

GREGORY BACKPACKS!
5 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is an amazing pack. I love it for weekend backpacking trips (especially during the summer, when you don't need to carry so many layers). It's on the smaller size but it fits all the essentials for a night in the mountains (and saves the weight of bulkier packs). Its the perfect size for mountaineering in the Alps too. I've also used it as a carry on bag for planes haha. Overal Gregory makes a solid backpack. Highly recommended.

SOLID, STURDY, AWESOME
5 5

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This tent is built beautifully. Its a tad on the heavier side compared to a few other models but because of that, it is really really solid and should weather storms well. Its super roomy and comfortable inside too. It has amazing ventilation and because of that, it can actually be used in summer (as long as it's not too hot). We have yet to test it in rain though. It was super easy to pitch the tent in crazy winds and it stayed solid all night.

I am 5 foot 3 and ordered a small and these pants fit great. The material is super comfortable, durable and breathable. Literally everything you could want in a pair of hiking pants. They do a great job keeping out the chill of the wind. I love the ventilation zippers too for those really hot days.

Snowshoes are lightweight and super comfortable. All the straps stay tight and they are a tough plastic that works great especially when everything is frozen. They are super easy to take on and off and you can do it while still wearing your gloves. The heal raise comes in handy during steep sections too. Definitely, recommend for any snowshoe trip.

Love my HV UL3 tent and definitely recommend buying the footprint too. It keeps your tent clean but more importantly protects it from stones and other sharp objects that could puncture the bottom. It also adds an extra level of protection when you are caught in the rain. I do agree with the other reviewers that it would be great if it was included, but regardless you definitely want one.
