Great fit right out of the box
5 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times

Instant smiles trying these on right out of the box.
Liners are well constructed and hug the ankle. Walk mode is a luxury feature compared to my old boots with out them. The top of the foot is well designed with an endofit tongue to keep snow out.
The touring soles (ISO 9523) are compatible with my Solomon STH2 WTR 13 Ski Bindings but I opted to use the Alpine (ISO 5355) soles to be compatible with all my bindings.

Honestly bought theses as an add on to get free shipping but this is also my second pack. They do the job. Comfortable but run small. I wear a size 4 pant and medium fits.

I bought these to replace a pair of gray canvas slip ons and love the design.
Purchased a size 8 and they are true to size. My initial impressions when trying them on are that the soles are solid, the foot sits slightly higher in the shoe and the insoles have a little arch support. Comfortable shoe for all day wear. It’s a sign of quality to see the insole is shaped and not just a flat piece of cardboard.
Leather and textile look great and would imagine the textile helps the shoe breathe. I plan on wearing with no-show socks, like these: https://www.backcountry.com/smartwool-secret-sleuth-sock-womens?skid=SWL000L-MEGYHES2-S
Overall happy with purchase and will update after more use.

First off, shout out to gearhead Brooklyn Hall for her expert knowledge and awesome customer service in helping me shop for bindings. Call or email her at 801.204.4660 or brhall@backcountry.com.

I love how these bindings have a 100mm break width size. They fit perfect with the 99mm width of my skis. The performance of these bindings are solid, absorb shock well when charging through crud and release as expected during a yard sale.

Great jacket
5 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 210 lbs
Size Purchased: Large

Partner says it’s comfortable.
For a guy that boards in a long sleeve thermal and t-shirt in Tahoe, he needed something a little more substantial for Utah. Light weight and breathable, he said he stayed plenty warm on a 20 degree powder day.
He is 6ft 2in, 210 and the large fit well. The length keeps things from getting drafty when your bent over getting into your bindings but thats also when the semi fit gets a little snug. Other than that, great jacket.

Height: 6' 2"

Size Purchased: Large

Bought these for my significant other and have some feedback to share.
Size: He’s 6’2” 210 and the large fit perfect. True to size.
Style: comfortable
Design: Pockets were limiting.
For a guy who typically boards in a long sleeve thermal and t-shirt, he really counts on his pant pockets. The zippers on the front pockets are a great idea for securing items but were too narrow. Was difficult to get hands in to.
The back pockets were secured closed with Velcro but he never uses those.
He wished these had cargo pockets so we returned them.

I ordered a size 10 and it was slightly too big for me (34C). The underwire was unnoticeable when I tried it on. Straps are adjustable but the back isn’t. Love the style and coverage of this top.
Sadly I’ll be returning it as it was just slightly too big and were sold out of my size.

I love the quality of these Smart Wool socks. I’ve worn them on several long walks and hikes and they are great at keeping my feet dry, comfortable and happy.
The heals and toes are reinforced, slightly thicker than the top of the foot and tube. I bought these in blue and love the color, which are as pictured.
I wear a size 8 shoe and ordered size medium and they fit perfectly.

I needed a belt for my snowboarding pants and wanted one with an adjustable waist.
Honestly, I picked this one for the bottle opener over similar priced belts athough I have yet to need the bottle opener.
I ordered a large that was on sale knowing that it would fit my waist regardless. When it arrived, I trimmed the belt length and melted the cut edge with a lighter to secure from fraying for a custom fit.
The nylon is durable and does the job!

I wore my ninja suit every night for a week straight since it arrived in the mail. My boyfriend quotes me saying, “wait, I don’t have my ninja suit on. I’m not doing anything until I have my ninja suit on.”
Here’s what I love about it:
The zippered waist and the ability to pee with out half undressing.
Cozy stretch material that’s warm and not bulky.
Feeling like a kid again while wearing it.
I am 5’5.5”, 135lbs and a medium fits perfectly.
Have yet to wear it outside but I’ll be using it camping and skiing for sure.

I looooooove these!
They are the soft, light weight, and cozy jackets for your feet. The perfect slip on to relax in after a long day of skiing in stiff boots. The soles have some traction to keep you from sliding around from the walk from the lodge to the car. I brought these as a gift before I got a pair of my own and I wish I could buy them for everyone. They make them in men’s too.
I usually wear an 8 or 8.5 and an 8 fits with a little wiggle room. I got the brushed houndstooth/plum and the color is a little lighter than pictured, more of a gray with a purple hue. I like that the heal backs are flexible, unstructured, so you can flatten to wear like slipons without messing them up permanently.

Pros:
Is reversible
Comfortable fit for active movement
Ordered size medium and fit 34c.
Cons:
Does not hide cold indicators
I ordered white, which without lining is probably see through when wet. For those of us who are naturally tan or ebony, let’s just say the white does not hide the color of the mountain caps.

Maybe if I had ordered a color other than white, I may keep it for swimming at my private residence, but I’ll be returning it.

Great gloves!

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Wore them on a 50 degree day skiing and they were hot!
They do not come with liners but the inside is nice and soft. The leather was wet by the end of the day but the insides were dry!
I love how the palms are leather and want to take care of them with some leather water prof product.
I ordered a medium, my hands measure from bottom of the palm to tip of middle finger 7”.
Will update when I get use out of them on a much colder day.

When looking for a duffel, a compartment for shoes was a must. This Kavu has one and its perfect.
I ordered the Northwest because of the color block design in hopes of making it easier to spot in an airport on a baggage claim conveyor belt.
The shoulder strap is super long and when I shorten it, the bag is still at my knees and I’m 5’5”. On occasion I use the handles to wear like a backpack so my hands are free to carry gear in one trip from the car. It is nice that the hardware for the shoulder strap is metal and does not squeak.
In addition to the exterior compartments shown, there is one small interior zippered pocket.
It’s exactly what I needed for a weekend duffel.

These are super nice and well crafted.
If you really want the warmth of a glove without the puffy glove hands, this is like a tuff AF liner.
Gave them as a gift and they have yet to be used in the snow but the recipient was very happy.

Bought these as a gift and wanted to share initial impressions and excitement.
"Ooooo. These are so comfy babe! Try them on without your socks."
The inside, including the insole, is lined with fleece.
"There are going to be great to wear after snowboarding," he says as he holds one in his hand and turns it over to inspect the sole. "And there is good traction on the boom to wear in the snow!"
He wears an 11.5 and I bought an 11 and they fit.
Update: I bought myself a pair and they are truly amazing to wear after a day on the slopes.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I ordered these gloves to use in the office to keep my hands warm while I type.
Pros:
Cute design with wood button
Love the knit style
Soft yarn
Ordered black and the color it is as pictured
Cons:
The thumb was way too long so I can't use them for typing. I couldn't bring myself to cut the thumbs off and risk that they'll unravel and look ugly. Too much work.

Sadly, I had to let these glove go. Like a crush on a cute boy, I wanted it to work out but it wouldn't have worked out without changing them. I returned them. They will be a perfect fit for someone else with 3" thumbs.

Additionally, the knit design is really for cool days and aren't intended for windy, freezing days. But my gearhead, Brooklynn Hall, made some great recommendations for other convertible mittens.
