Elisa Warfordwrote a review of Marmot PreCip Eco Jacket - Women's on March 19, 2019
Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size
I was given this product by Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion. I took the Marmot Eco PreCip on a week-long Utah road trip that included lots of rain and snow. In short, it was a great shell that blocked wind, rain, and snow all dayâI was happy to have it with me! My favorite feature was the hood, which was generous and stayed in place, covering my beanie and sometimes also my puffy hood. The tall collar was also comfortable, and the jacket's length ensured that it covered all my layers underneath. The XS seemed true to size, and the cut is flattering yet still gave me room for a base layer, thin fleece, and even my puffy jacket. It packs into its own pocket, and while the packed size was larger than the OR Helium, it provided more coverage and features (like pockets and pit zips) than the Helium, which I appreciated on this trip. My only complaint was that the lining of one of the pockets either arrived with a hole or quickly developed one, which was surprising given the quality of the jacket and Marmot products in general. Even so, I'm glad to have this jacket as an optionâI'll get a lot of use out of it.
